I am a single parent of a 17 year old son. I have been divorced for over 10 years and never really got too serious about finding someone to spend my life with. I quit my job of 10 years as a computer programmer in 2010 and returned to finish college at Iowa State University studying Civil Engineering (2013). I spent last summer with a friend in Florence, Italy and I think I have caught the traveling bug. I enjoy running marathons. Most recent was Marine Corp marathon. I like to do RAGBRAI and get on my bike in the summer. If you don't know what that is you should try it. :) I'm a firm believer in pursuing your dreams. Which is a big reason I returned to college at age 37. :) That was strange at first, but I am glad I did it now.
This summer I will be in Alabama and plan to move there next May or August. I am planning a cross-country bicycle ride the summer of 2013. Want to come with? Anyways, I have family in the Guin, AL area. I want to make my way down to Alabama, some place, to be closer to them. Someday, I want to build my own house there.
i can go out and have a good time or stay home and raise a garden. Both are equally fun.
