My son is old enough now to get involved with athletics, so I've been taking time to coach his soccer team and now his basketball team, even though I don't know a lot about soccer. I'm looking forward to doing this as long as they will let me coach because it's been a lot of fun. Anyway, if there's anything else you want to know just ask. Just one note...I am not looking for one night stands. I'm 38 not 21 anymore. I'm looking for someone I can be friends with before starting anything serious.

Well that's a tough question isn't it. I mean we all think we know who we want to meet, but do we really? I've read a lot of profiles and blogs about what kind of person would be ideal as a partner. Really what it comes down to is someone you can trust with anything, that believes in you the way you believe in them. Someone who gets as excited about you as you do about them. I don't need someone to take care of me or fix me or anything else like that. I just want someone to share my life and experiences with. To compliment me by showing me a different perspective sometimes. After that, the small stuff (interests, beliefs) make things interesting. I'm not difficult to get along with. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. Attraction is, of course, an important part of any relationship, but not the most important part.
I believe in honesty, integrity, and loyalty. I do not nor have I ever done drugs. I smoke a cigarette or a cigar on occasion if I go out, with drinks. I don't drink to excess, and I do not drive drunk. Ever. I've never been in jail, and I pay my taxes. I know that's pretty boring stuff, but I've always considered myself a responsible adult who likes to have fun when he can without getting into a lot of trouble.
