I have been accused of being a perfectionist, but in truth I am merely a particular sort who believes anything worth one's time is worth one's all. I am conscientious, assiduous, tenacious, unfailingly disciplined, and firmly believe that no challenge is too great given enough care, time, and effort. Unlike most engineers, I enjoy writing, can speak comfortably to crowded rooms, have reasoned thoughts on more than MHz, and have a deep appreciation for aesthetics, minimalism, and order (yes, I am a neat freak -- but if you're not, that's totally okay). I eat with care, exercise at least an hour a day, and strive to take excellent care of myself. I am forever humbled and awed by the world around me -- and consequently driven to constantly improve. Above all, I am deeply principled, honest even when it works against me, and pride myself on my integrity. While of that likely makes me sound all business and no fun, in truth I absolutely revel in the absurdities that permeate everyday life.
As for what I seek in a match, there are only a handful of non-negotiables: integrity, intellect, kindness, open-mindedness, and a resolute moral compass. Of course, mutual physical attraction is also key -- as is a willingness to offer long-term commitment in the fullness of time. Going further, my ideal match would be confident yet humble, independent but considerate, creative yet pragmatic, driven but patient, and precise without being pedantic. Speaking of precise: call me old-fashioned and a wee bit mad, but few things are sexier than an expressive woman with impeccable spelling, punctuation, and grammar :-)

Traveling: In 2010 I spent 30 days backpacking through southern Europe. These days I get my travel fix by combining it with motorcycling. I ride solo through the Baja dirt every year for 5-7 days. (see Pics)
Fitness & Activity: I run 1 or 2 half marathon's a year and I just signed up for an Olympic length triathlon. While I do like to get out, I can be content to involve myself with things around the home. I consider myself pretty well-balanced in that sense.
Food & Drink: I belong to a winery! I love to eat healthy. Though someone once described me as "a fat kid in a skinny kid body". I LOVE pastries.

I'm a pretty much laid back type of person. People say that I tend to go with the flow of things in life and limit my "confrontation" with others. I like to keep people happy in their life and accept them the way they are. I can be content with what I have, but I would like to share what I have with the "love" of my life in the near future. Yes, we are social creatures - being alone can be good, but it can have it's obvious downfalls. I.e. just having someone with you & knowing they love and care for you is so important.
So to be straight forward, I'm looking for someone to share the rest of my life with. I like outdoor activities such as camping, road trips to where I suddenly need to find a local hotel to stay the night, weekend getaways, walks/running, "window" shopping along a mall, or just hang out at a coffee shop and people watch.
