Date people from California, United States. As a writer, artist, and sometime poet, I once wrote a poem that explains my heart and head best. I am often asked who I wrote this poem for and I always respond, I haven't met her yet.!
The Gift
We will never again
Be as we were
Before we met
For we have given each
Other the gift of love.
Our words never fell
On unhearing ears
When we spoke.
Our smiles were never
Laid to waste by
Unseeing eyes.
Our thoughts were never
Judged nor condemded,
But accepted for what
They were.
We never made sport
Of each other,
Except in kindly ways.
;And we never made more of each other
Than what we were.
Gentleness was accepted In full
And returned in kind,
As was laughter and passion.
We were two different people
Going two different ways,
Until we met and our love became
A tie that cannot bind.
If you read this, then you know my heart; and I must be truthful... the flattering primary photo was taken 5 years ago. The rest are current. If you have a boat it's a BIG plus lol. Honestly, I'm not materialistic and would even prefer a woman who is debt free and does not have a lot of money.
I've new to Match. I was a Navy Pilot and former "Blue Angel" before I retired in 1975. I then worked at Lockheed, Intel, Sylvainia and Watkins Johnson as a Senior Project Engineer. I had been divorced since 1980 when I moved to Houston, Texas to work in the Geophysical area. About 10 years after Houston I returned to the area and started a publishing business and wrote three best selling business books. I'm completely retired now and am still looking for Mrs. Right. If you're out there please respond as I would love to meet you. I will always believe that you're out there somewhere!
