I am a 51 year old wdm. I have raised a family. I have a great step daughter and 3 beautiful grand kids (they live out of state) I come from a big family and love them all. DISTANT DREAM
The beach is deserted, cold and silent – void of the cries of seagulls and the rhythmic lapping of the ocean’s waves. The sun cowers behind the dark, menacing clouds. The sand is course and undisturbed. Footprints are unwelcome.
A forgotten man kneels on the ocean shore – his head lowered, mind tattered, and soul empty. His eyes are closed – to impede false hopes. God has ignored his prayers – his pleas for mercy. Life has abandoned him. He is alone – deafened by silence, entombed in loneliness. Days lapse into years. Years lapse into eternity. Time is his enemy...
A hand touches the man’s shoulder. Its warmth transcends throughout his aching body. His withered dreams must be toying with his senses – but still the touch, “the spark”, the power ensue.
The man strains to lift his head. His eyes, seared shut from endless tears, burn as he forces their sight. A woman stands before him. Her beauty is pure. Her energy’s clarity is immeasurable. Her eyes are magnificent. Her touch remains - unwaivered by the man’s shock and disbelief. She is real. Her eyes permeate his soul, his heart, and his mind. Her voice is soothing and honest.
Futile attempts are made to stand - the man’s body is crippled from years of unjust – tethered to the shore of false hopes and broken promises. But still, the woman’s touch and gaze do not falter.
The man makes one last, agonizing, writhering effort to free himself from his interment - his scorched lungs crying out in deafening pain. His chains of forlorn weaken, shatter, and fall. God had heard his prayers. He is awakened.
The man stands, facing his savior - captivated by her eyes, her touch, her lips... Their hearts entwine, their minds caress, their spirits dance. Forever is welcome.
