Date a woman from San Francisco, United States. I am looking to meet someone for a real, connected relationship; one that has potential to be long-term and lead to so much more. Honesty and communication are paramount. I'm not into playing games and am definitely NOTlooking for someone who is in to games. Although, I DO love a good game of Scrabble :) !
About You: You are comfortable in your own skin, intellectual, keep up with the going-ons of the world, funny/humorous, like to eat (please, no eating-disorders), enjoy working out (Bonus points if you can go to a Bikram class with me!), like to travel (although I admittedly have not traveled as much as I'd have liked to. Ah, you can show me the world!), and are just an all-around good person. Chemistry is a MUST. Kissing chemistry is quintessential, too!
P.S. If you've RECENTLY broken up, separated, or divorced, I'm not interested as I'm not looking to be in a rebound relationship.
P.P.S. And, since I'm human and have two eyes: You should have a picture! It's not just men who need a physical connection/spark!
Let's see, what might you want to know about me? My favorite things, of course! I l-o-v-e good food and wine. Some of my favorite restaurants are Zazie, Chez Panisse, Magnolias, Eos, Oliveto, In-and-Out (for the meatless cheeseburger), The Pork Store Cafe, Dosa, Flour and Water, Delfina, and Luna Park. I am a pescetarian (I eat fish and crustaceans), but have no issues with dating a man who eats meat. ETA: After 13 years of being a pure vegetarian, and 7 years of being a pescetarian, I am trying meat now. Prosciutto appears to be my gateway drug--ahem, I meant--meat!
I am a good to great cook. I tend to follow in the footsteps/style of the food goddess Alice Waters (a la Chez Panisse) in that I try to cook with seasonal, local food. I make a mean French baguette from scratch (sans the non-foodie cop-out, i.e. the bread machine). I am currently on an Italian kick and have been working on perfecting my puttanesca sauce.
I try to do at least one backpacking trip each year and would definitely love to go more frequently. I have "conquered" Half Dome in Yosemite 5 times and only wish to climb it once more on a full moon night.
I love Bikram yoga and the challenge that comes from mastering your mind and body in a 105-115 degrees Fahrenheit room while doing demanding poses. (I just finished a 30 classes in 30 days challenge. However, I'll admit to having only completed 27 of the 30 classes! I am now going into my second thirty day challenge :) I used to be a distance runner, but my knees dont care to anymore.
I grew up near a ski resort and started skiing when I was 3 and snowboarding when I was 13. I used to be "aggro" in that I competed in freestyle Half-Pipe competitions round about the time Shaun White first strapped his boots into his bindings. I miss the snow, but love the city.
I am a bit weird in that I don't drive (yes, I know how can drive a stick-shift!), but instead walk, cycle, or use public transportation to get around. I've purposefully been without a car for 11 years and find that it is the perfect way to stay in shape when you love food as much as I do!
I studied philosophy as an undergrad at UC Santa Cruz (Go Slugs!) and am finishing up my Masters in English Literature at SF State now. My favorite philosophers are Jean Paul Sartre and Michael Foucault. Writers: Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, and so many more If it isnt obvious, I love to read and am best buddies with my local library branch.
I read a lot and across all fields/disciplines/interests (except for People, Star, and other celebrity crap magazines). I am eclectically well-read and enjoy talking about politics, economics. literature, science, and so much more.
Anything else you want to know? Get in touch with me!
Meet men and women from San Francisco, United States. Friends describe me as someone kind, independent, adventurous, and enjoys pretty much everything the world has to offer. Of course I have flaws and quirks, but I always appreciate constructive feedback. As of late, I love going out for live music in the bay area. I enjoy cooking whenever I have time, but I probably prefer the consumption part of it. I believe in flowers and hand-written notes. I have a fetish for dresses...tight enough to show I'm a woman and loose enough to show I'm a lady.
Seeking for someone who's genuine and open minded. Confident yet modest; cautious but not fearful; mature with an inner child, hard working but knows how to have fun and enjoy life; manly but has a gentle soul. He says what he means, and means what he says. He has empathy—the capacity to relate to and care for other people, and other parts of the world.
I'm out going but not very forward and have never been much of a "dater"... I don't fall in love easily, but when I do, I fall head over heals... let's see if there's any chemistry...the real kind, not the .com kind.
Date people from San Francisco, United States. I usually do what it takes to make sure I am living a happy and healthy lifestyle. I am active and enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, and sometimes running. I endlessly walk my dog. I like to try new bars/restaurants and cruise around the city. I love my neighborhood and exploring everything it has to offer. I am a vegetarian but not a big cook. Also like to travel and see new places/cultures. I'm looking for an easy going, social, responsible, active man. Looking for someone to spend time with (staying in or going out) and want to genuinely enjoy each other's company.
