Date someone special from United States. Just figured I'd try this out to meet some new people and see where things might go. I've lived in the area for about 3.5 yrs and am originally from Upstate NY. Before relocating here for work, I spent time in Boston, Miami, and Dubai. I like to try new things and am usually pretty easy going. I don't like to play games and try to be as genuine as i can and expect the same from others. For fun, I like hiking, photography, sports, camping, going out for dinner/drinks, travelling and random road trips. In the future, I would like to get scuba certification and get more into backpacking. I love to travel and for my next trip and heading to Tanzania for a safari and to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I'm looking to meet someone with similar interests as myself to share things, whether it be travelling somewhere exotic or just trying out a new restaurant in the city. Someone who can get dirty hiking with me one minute and then get all dressed up for a night out. Someone where we'll have fun no matter what we're doing, even if it's just spending a lazy day on the couch. I'm drawn to people with a good sense of humor who are honest, intelligent, open minded, and supportive. I feel it's important that if you're in a relationship with someone that they should be one of your best friends.

My friends say I have a technology hex, but mastering a new lens for my camera for that perfect shot or fixing something so you don’t have to think about �how it works’ makes it all worthwhile. Is it kosher to admit I enjoy troubleshooting and helping fix a friend’s stuff over the phone? My friends and family are very important to me; I’m fiercely loyal because I don’t see any friendship as temporary. While the world may be large – the people in it make it small.
We need to discover what’s out there - in the City or world or bookcase…there’s no end to learning. Let’s indulge! Whether we’re roughing it out with backpacks or having the nice folks at the front desk sort it out while we find the pool and bar...there’s an infinite combination of journeys waiting...
I wish I could dance, sing or play an instrument because while I can never remember the artist or title of the song – there’s always a tune in my heart and a song of the day. If we’re vegging out watching TV on a Tuesday – playing the �isn’t she from that movie?’ is a fun game. (I’m fine with rewinding because we missed an important part of dialogue �cause we were distracted by our own tangent.) I like games. I’m a great Pictionarycraniumetc… partner. Not competitive but who doesn’t like winning? Yay! I’m a winner!
Anyways – these things are always such a challenge to write because it’s like – what you feel about yourself today may not be the way you break yourself down tomorrow. Every day you’re a new person. I’m looking for someone who can appreciate that newness each day brings.

In lieu of it being an awful waste of time, I do think there are a lot of great people on here for the right reasons, so it always keeps me interested on whoOK, back to me talking about myself. I am an open book and am very quick to open up to people. Having said that, I can still be complex and might be online and looking. I do still occasionally visit to read a few profiles, but would prefer to not constantly chat with people online when I usually do better in person anyway. I did once have the witty, cool fun profile that did not start off with this disclaimer, but I think I have come to realize how fickle the online experience is and I want to spend time creating relationships on a more solid foundation.
do not feel the need to share my whole life's story....but here is my life's story. =) ...(oh yeah, I have a horrible habit of using emoticons....I am not proud). So yeah, I was raised on traditional values but like to throw out conventional thinking. You can often find me in the corner of the room laughing loudly. I am jovial and I like to think I wear a smile well (I just hope I find time to listen to what you have to say somewhere in my endless stream of witty attempts to make you smile). I am trusting, sincere and ready to lend a hand. I believe you get what you put into life. You know work hard / play hard, and hopefully someday work less / play more. Oh yeah, bonus points if you are somewhat fearless, creative, kind, original, thoughtful, proactive, a dreamer, grounded, like black white photography, fresh turns in deep powder =), Mick in '66, Chevy in '82, travel, Ira Glass and/or Radiolab, Banh Hoi Nem Nuong, Bogart in Casablanca, intellectual chatter from _____(insert TED talk here), Cookie Monster, puppies, songs that actually have good lyrics, dogs with cones on their necks, the open road, jasmine honey, like rock/indie/dub shows and you often call your parents just to ask them how they are doing. If you can find yourself saying yes to at least half of these, have a pretty smile and are not on the lam from the law, then I would be happy to hear from you.

I have lots of wonderful ideas, I'm a dreamer...some prevail some don't. But i love the opportunity and flexibility I have to at least attain them with my job.
