Meet someone special from Newhall, United States. By the time I was two years old I was chasing critters (frogs, crayfish, snails) and my mother was teaching me about plants. These interests blossomed over time, until they occupied virtually my entire life, both personal and professional. My dad grew up on a small family farm in Minnesota, while my mother lived in a homestead cabin in the deep woods of Michigan. Their values were Midwest and solid, and I try to live by them.......things like sharing, generosity, honesty, giving the other guy the benefit of the doubt, acts of kindness done anonymously, making sure that you do more than what is required, obeying the law--and, more importantly, the golden rule--even when no one is looking, believing in and supporting causes greater than oneself....these are important to me. I am strongly opinionated--"Frequently wrong, never in doubt" as the bard says , but quick to change my stance when presented with illuminating info. Not materialistic; stuff isn't important to me. I consider myself wealthy in having a modest (but paid for) house on a half acre, lots of trees, feeders that bring in crows, ravens, mockingbirds, hummers, woodpeckers, squirrels, grosbeaks, scrub jays, band-tailed pigeons, mourning doves. At night coyotes (smarter than most of us) are commonly to be heard, and they frequent the dry wash behind the back fence. Left to my own devices I'm pretty reclusive--never run out of things to do--but when in a relationship I greatly enjoy getting out for meals, visiting friends.....the destination is much less important than the company. Regrettably, I have neither the sports gene nor the dancing gene. I enjoy long, vigorous conversations about politics, religion, the news of the day or whatever..... no topic is out of bounds.
I've had my share of adventure and thrills, but at this point I'm assuming a more reflective/introspective/contemplative stance. I'd rather listen to the birds or the wind than do the adrenalin thing.
I'm looking for an honest, intelligent, relaxed, responsible, funny gal who is passionate about something---work, hobby, whatever--but who has ample time and interest to devote to a relationship. No workaholics. Someone who enjoys getting out, but is happy around home. Someone who shares my values and interests (all facets of nature--astronomy to zoology), is willing to put up with my foibles (as of course I will hers), and is looking for a serious, loving, long term relationship, who loves to hold hands and receive and give affection, who enjoys snuggling 'til the dogs demand their supper/breakfast/midnight snack. Such a relationship makes me a better person, which in turn is reflected back upon her.
