Date single man from Mission Beach, United States. Hi :)
I'm Paul. Originally from Philly. Joined the Navy at 23 and saw the West Coast, the Florida Keys, Sicily, and lots of sand in the Middle East while I was in. The Navy was a good ride, but I did outgrow it and opted to be a private citizen again. When I was discharged (sounds gross huh?) from the Navy in WA, I moved to Royal Oak, Michigan. Started a real estate LLC with a buddy and worked in downtown Detroit for my day job. I wasn't crazy about Michigan, the winters in particular, and got lucky when my job offered to transfer me to San Diego. I was like: Heck Yes! I left the business to my partner and here I am in Sunny San Diego. And no, it's not always sunny in Philadelphia, Ladies :p In addition to working my day job in Mission Valley (40 hours a week) I am also a mild mannered graduate student at Brandman University. I'm using my GI Bill to pursue my MBA. Many moons ago, and back when I had a full head of hair, I was a biology major and worked in a lab purifying proteins and doing other scientific stuff that would blow your mind. Yep...true story.
I'm adventurous and am thrilled to be back in Cali. My activities were limited in Michigan. It was too "East Coast" for me (weather, landscape, and culture). Out here, almost anything goes and there are lots of large lumps all around. I think they're called mountains. And then there's the beach...I love the beach. Walks, runs, cart wheels...no cart wheels? Ok. No cart wheels.
I am looking for a fun gal who's easy on the eyes, has a brain (and is not afraid to use it), laughs at my jokes, and who I can be me around. Sarcasm is a plus. I'm down for hiking, dance lessons, yoga, yogurt, running, and any type of adventurous outdoor stuff. How did yogurt get in there? Speaking of food...I like trying new foods and I can cook. Shall we try some culinary creations together? How about one of San Diego's 10,000 restaurants? Cool. Let's go.
Beer...I drink it. I like microbrews and enjoy trying new beers. If you don't like beer, that's quite all right. We can still get along. Know anything about wine? Care to share it?
Fashion...not my strong suit. In fact, my sisters make fun of me for it. But, I'm evolving and I do have nice clothes. I just don't have any pictures in them. Maybe in the near future. Start holding your breath. Ok, that's long enough. Continue reading...
Games...I don't play them. I don't want to hurt your feelings and I don't want mine hurt either. Starting off on a friendly basis and respecting each other is key. Respect is the basis of all communication...so says one of my college textbooks. It really is, though. I don't have unlimited time and resources and I suspect you don't either.
Did I already have you at shoes and handbags? ;)
Meet a soulmate from Mission Beach, United States. I've been meaning to get around to updating this for awhile. I initially thought online dating seemed attractive since it would be streamlined and save time, however I've found it requires a pretty good devotion of time to do right. Hopefully I can find the time these days.
I know everyone says writing these is awkward, and they're right! (for me anyway.) I was born and raised in San Diego and haven't traveled a whole lot, so I wouldn't describe myself as worldly by any stretch of the imagination. I like it here, but know I should broaden my horizons a bit.
I spend a lot of time working, it's a big part of my life, but I'm lucky I have a job I'm passionate about. I've been with the company I'm at for 8 years now, and it still provides plenty of new challenges and enjoyment for me.
I see a lot of the same requirements as to 'what I'm looking for' and I hope in reality I exhibit the general ones. Honest, kind, passionate, etc, however just saying I'm a whole lot of positive adjectives probably isn't going to help you much. Hopefully you'll find out for yourself.
I'll get back to this later, or try to anyway :)
