Date single man from California, United States. My age is not a fctor as I am very healthy and have taken care of myself. I have been an athlete most of my live playing orgnized hardball starting at age 9 and into the minor leagues into my early 20's. I started playing tennis at 16 and taught my kids as well. I played volleyball for years and now ride my bike and eat healthy as well. I was a radio disk jockey while I was in college, interviewing for my program vitually every one from Chuck Berry to Pat Boone. I raced cars for Pontiac and Dodge and enjoy too many things to mention here. Everything from wine tasting to movies and shows to car and horse shows. I also raised and bred Arabian show horses for 20 years along with my job. Looking for someone with no baggage who is open as I am and would like to do or learn things they have never done. I like to travel although I spent 34 years doing that, but because of the unrest in the rest of the world I am cautious about doing that. I am a one woman man and romantic caring and know how it should be. If you are on here don't wear sunglasses in your photos. Though I like animals I don't like to see what you have I want to look at you not animals, sunsets or scenery, you. I am a good conversationalist with good indepth knowledge of many subjects as well I do seminars on law and how it affects the people. I did seminars for my companies customers and designed them myself which has brought me to doing seminars for the last 10 years. A few hints for the ladies: photos are great to see what YOU are about, wearing sunglasses don'y help, and while I like animals I am looking at you. Also scenary or paintings we can see together and as I am an art lover if you paint, I would like that. I want to get an overall idea what you look like. These photos outside of the one with my son and me still having some dark hair go back 5 years. I have hardly changed at all.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I am an incurable romantic by nature have a positive outlook and try to be a pragmatic realist. I tend to be eclectic in my passions and likes. My friends describe me as a type A personality. I am competitive in nature, love to compete, lose graciously, but HATE to beat myself. I am candid, sincere, honest (sometimes to a fault) and loyal. I'm comfortable in "black tie, a suit, slacks Levis, or shorts (whatever the occasion calls for). I would prefer to be a little over dressed than inappropriately underdressed. Passions: (in no particular order) Opera, (Season Ticket Holder at Opera Pacific since it's inception) Ballet (relatively newly acquired pleasure, not yet very knowledgeable) Music (all kinds, with the exception of hard rock, I am partial to classical and jazz I had a dance band for many years) Sailing (Racing and Cruising), Automobiles (Collectibles not necessarily classics), Motorcycle riding and Touring (My vehicle of choice is my 87 Honda Asspancade), Fine Dining (though I truly enjoy the occasional grease burger/fries & a cold beer) Theater (prefer musicals or dance concerts to most productions) Likes: (again, in no particular order) Dancing (I believe dancing was intended to be a body contact sport) Camping (especially when on a motorcycle trip) Hiking Working out Going or staying home "Formal" for no particular reason other than it's fun. Flowers (I'm partial to Roses) Photography (portraits, landscapes and seascapes primarily. Digital photography is beginning to intrigue me.
My ideal partner is a lady (in every sense of the word) who is confident, and sure of herself. She enjoys her femininity and is not threatened or challenged but appreciates a chivalrous gentleman. It would be great if she enjoyed my passions and added some of her own to the mix. As for the sailing I plan to go cruising. As for the tennis it would be a dream come true If we could compete fairly evenly or better yet she be the stronger player.
. I am a retired academic and a continuing progressive political activist. Although I've been trying to lose that nasty 15 lbs for many years, I am something of a hiker and gym rat. Since retirement I've sat in on many courses at Cal, ranging from Renaissance Art, Energy Policy, Geology, and Shakespeare. So I'm interested in a lot of different things.
I usually catch the major exhibitions at the Bay Area Museums, some of the local theater, and not as much music as I would like - but I just can't go out every night.
I travel regularly, usually on trips that are associated with hiking - but not always. I'll spare you my list of past destinations. I'm always open to travel ideas. I've been to fewer places than I'd like to have been.
I'd like to meet a woman who is interested in sharing at least some of my interests, introduce me to things that I've never done before, and from whom I can learn. I like the idea of making plans.
I'm looking for a steady companion and, if it works out, an intimate relationship.
. I'm actually 74. I am quiet, but can be outgoing and assertive when doing things that really make me happy. Am known for my sense of humor, my empathy, and my intellectual honesty. I enjoy the city more than the countryside. My social life is fairly conservative, but my life with my partner is very passionate, and is adventuresome in the bedroom. I like to laugh and have fun, cuddle and hug, and play in the bedroom. I enjoy my grandchildren, as well as other toddlers and youngsters. I am a scientist, but not a nerd, with a strong social conscience. I enjoy discussing (but not arguing about) political issues, and values. I like most movies, reading non-fiction, travel (U.S. and Europe), and French restaurants. I don't call women "girls". I am 5' 10", weigh 190 lbs.
I would like a woman who is smart, witty, and "real"; a full partner in all phases of life. One who can share my interests, and have her own independent ones, as well, either intellectual, communal or creative. Looking for a woman who is attractive, settled, smart, sincere, down-to earth, fun, likes to travel. Like to play -- intellectually and sexually
. I live in a condo in Channel Islands near the water, belong to several clubs, the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club, The Aviation Country Club, and the Corvette Club of Southern California. . I am looking for a lady to enjoy these activities with me.
. "I'm going to find myself a girl who can show me what laughter means
And we'll fill in the missing colors in each other's paint-by-number dreams..."

Hi, my name's Bill, and I was born and raised in the Boston suburbs and spent most of my life in New England. It was there that I helped to raise my twin sons who now live with their families (and my four grandchildren 12,7,6 and 3) in Oakland and in Maine. I've lived in So. California since the turn of the century.
I think that my friends would describe me as relatively smart with a spontaneous wit (well, you'll be the judge of that). I'm also defined by my deep interest in the affairs of our country, and I'm proud to call myself a liberal on most issues (so if you're conservative in your politics, it wouldn't be a good fit).
And the older I get, the more I find that music is a more integral part of my life.....all kinds....cool/soft jazz, Frank/Ella, 50's oldies, soft rock, folk, and especially "good" country...and yes, classical too. I especially enjoy trying to write songs and playing my old acoustic guitar from the 60's.
Like all of us, I love to travel, and I've been fortunate to have been able to see quite a bit (but by far not all) of Europe, plus a few interesting places like China and Cuba, and a year ago I spent three weeks in Australia and New Zealand. But so much more awaits....
Although I certainly don't claim to be “spiritual” in any particular sense, I do believe that each of us has the inherent wisdom and compassion within ourselves as human beings to lead good (and yes, moral) lives. But I certainly respect anyone else's belief system that helps them to navigate through their own life, as long as they respect the methods that others may choose.
I'm hoping to befriend a bright lady with intellectual curiosity and a great sense of humor, and then to sharing the things that we both enjoy doing as well as to learning about and enjoying the separate interests that each of us bring to the friendship.
I'll be frank.....I'm not simply looking for a casual dating arrangement, but for a "last love" (although I realize that the former must precede the latter). And because we're both on Match, we're obviously both optimists who unequivocally "know" that our future life partners are out there, and despite the odds, we're not going to stop searching until we find them.
