I enjoy traveling to the traditional places--U.S., Europe, Hawaii, etc., but also enjoy the natural outdoors--yes I'm a camping kind of gal. [Camping is not going to the Holiday Inn without a reservation! :) I want to see the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning.]
I'm originally from Hawaii and love the Aloha spirit. If you've been there you'll know what I mean. Also note that doggies are my passion. I currently have a little white poodle mix named Sachi. I also had a lhapso mix named Kimo who was the inspiration for a great canine literacy program. (We did a reading program for underprivileged children and he was a hit. I hope to do it again one day with Sachi.) By the way, I've recently acquired a love for cats. They can be so loving too.
The main photo was taken in December 2011. The others were taken in the last year and even as recent as January 2012. And believe it or not, thanks to good genes and possibly 'clean living' (ha!), I have not changed jeans or dress sizes in the past 20 years.

*I have a confession to make. I haven't really seriously run for about 5 years and in June 2011 I decided to start up again. A colleague coerced me into running the LB 1/2 marathon back in Oct. 2011 so II hit the pavement and finished the run in 2 hrs 19 minutes! Not bad for having not run a race for over 15 years. It was a challenge getting up in the morning, but the runner's high is still there. :)
I guess this is time for change b/c I decided to start playing my 1943 Steinway upright after not touching it for over 5 years. I just got it back from the repair shop and it looks like a new piece. It's gorgeous and I'm now jazzed to start playing again. I hope playing the piano is like bike riding--you never forget.
