I have been known to punk my children, i have done so often they cautious when dad is trying too hard to get them to do or try something new. I am fortunate to enjoy good health blessed with good genetics from my grandparents all of whom lived well into their 90?s. I try to keep reasonably fit; my exercise a regiment is random mixture of hiking, biking, bowling, gardening, fishing, and occasionally working out. I enjoy the company of unpretentious people who are self-assured, confident and sensitive to the environment and humanity. I am convinced that the journey is the essence of a relationship and the destination immaterial.

I'll remain a happy, healthy, easy-going guy; a bit complacent but otherwise comfortable... and life's uncomplicated! Friends will say he's amiable, dependable, helpful, spontaneous, open-minded, of reasonable intelligence and temperament. Has a wry mischievous wit and wicked sense of humor; I'm easily amused!
More inclined to entertain at home than go out, but go out on occasion. I love stimulating conversation and repartee; always trying to inject a little humor into everyday interactions, have fun with folks. There's always something to joke and laugh about.
When not eating, sleeping, reading or working (part-time); I'm camping, biking, hiking or snowshoeing. I feel a sense of "awe" when viewing or witnessing natural beauty and phenomena. I’ll take a walk, bike, hike or road trip anywhere fun, semi-interesting or enriching; old gold mines, ghost towns, hardware stores, outdoor concerts, parks, museums, monuments (it's amazing what you learn at a Visitor Center), car and craft shows, farmer and flea markets. I'm naturally inquisitive; always turning over rocks, looking under leaves. Enjoy beach combing, tide pooling, watching the "dawn patrol" (flight of Pelicans, wingtip to wingtip, wind surfing above the waves). I like to be aware of my surroundings; examining, observing, studying and checking things out. I'm easily entertained!
