I have strong interests in sailing, traveling and horses. I breed champion Holsteiner horses for equestrian sport, mostly show jumping. I work out of the country, presently for the State Department in Afghanistan and will do that for another year before i hang up my spurs for good and get on with retired life. My recent tours in Iraq and Afghanistan have taught me a few things about how precious life is and have led me to a conscious decision to have more fun, hence the boat. I come home every three months or so for a 3 week break, so that is a built in "brake" to keep things from moving too quickly, which is a painful lesson I learned along the way to here. I plan to get out more, do, see , be more..and have alot of fun doing it. of course doing it all with someone I'm crazy about makes it all the better!I've always been attracted to slender women with above average intelligence, a good sense of humor and a positive outook on life. Natural good looks vs movie star glamour, being brave enough to meet life on its own terms and a fondness for animals are all winners with me. (Note: the pets in this house sleep on the bed. My idea of a good dog is one weighing at least 30 lbs, likes to play, has good manners and doesn't bark in the middle of the night for no apparent reason.
My ideal match would be someone who is affectionate and playful, likes to get away for trips up (or down) the coast and would rather take the next turn in the road and see where it goes rather than plan a trip. Of course planning a killer adventure is great fun, too. Ladies, I am looking for someone who could be described as (in no particular order, but all are important) sweet, smart, sexy, slender, 50's to early sixties, like s animals and the outdoors and has a great sense of humor. I'm a strong believer in monogamy, so trying to have a relationship with someone who is married to a career doesn't work well for me at this point in life. Well, there's a hint of that dark humor, but there is some truth in all humor. Hobbywise I like model railroading and railfanning mostly.
