First, some basics -- I'm healthy and employed. I have all my original parts and they are in good working order. I am sane, with no chemical dependencies, (I drank enough in college for a lifetime). I think I am reasonably interesting, but not so interesting that I'm on death row, in a cult, or that my picture is posted in the US post office.
In the past, I lived for sports. I still enjoy exercising and playing sports, and although I am not nearly as passionate as I once was, I still try to exercise 4 to 5 times per week, and I generally eat healthy food.
I enjoy exploring The City, going to a Giants game, or hanging out at the ocean (Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz). If it is raining or dark out, I like theatre, ballet, or live music. I also enjoy doing some volunteer work from time to time....
I have traveled quite a bit in the past, mostly for work, which has given me the opportunity to see many interesting places and meet many interesting people. I recently learned about Road Scholar Tours. According to their website you travel "alongside local and renowned experts, experience in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning opportunities, from cultural tours, to walking, biking and more." An educational trip to either Quebec, the Galapagos Islands, or Eastern Europe sounds interesting to me.
OK, now for a little meat (or tofu for the vegan crowd). Honesty and integrity are core values for me. Also, I am pretty even-tempered and practical.(most of the time). I look for similar qualities in my best friend. Beyond these I don’t think there is an exact mixture of similar and complementary attitudes and interests required….some of each are probably fine.
Lastly, although it was a while ago, I clearly remember the feeling of being in love. It is very special, and I would like to feel that way again.

Personally, my book has been - and continues to be - a very full and exciting one. Each small success has opened me up to my next goal. Years ago in Boston, I started out as a science, math and music teacher (building a sort of "Mr. Wizard" reputation) with children ranging in age from pre-school through junior high.

I'm also a co-founder and business development advisor of two "green" start-up companies; one that's designing a home electrical generator powered purely by magnets and air - as well as future cars and other vehicles that will require no gas, oil, or electrical recharging... and the second dealing with gold, silver, magnets, and rare-Earth minerals. Needless to say, I keep pretty busy - but enjoy every minute.
In the few spare hours I might have, I enjoy movies, museums, and all sorts of music. And if and when that music's right -- and the beat takes a hold of me -- dancing and singing becomes totally automatic!
