Typically when I tell a joke...I am the person in the room that ends up laughing the hardest at it...but I continue to think I am incredibly funny so either I am delusional or I just need smarter friends. My friends will tell you I am opinionated, intelligent, sarcastic, stubborn, independent, cute and good communicator (i.e. a big talker). I don't take myself too seriously, and a person that wants to date me shouldn't take themselves too seriously either. Sometimes I use good-natured mocking to show affection so if you can't take it as well as you can dish it out-we probably won't jive.
My personality is a solid mix of social butterfly and homebody. I can be shy at first but once that passes you'll probably struggle getting me to shut up. I love to cook and really enjoy trying out more and more complicated recipes (I make a mean authentic Italian lasagna - even if I'm not Italian) - but it's always more fun to cook for someone else than to dine solo. But I am just as comfortable getting dressed up to meet friends out on the town for some drinks and maybe a little dancing - I'm becoming a bit of a foodie so I love trying out new restaurants.
I run to stay sane-running at 5AM keeps me slightly less sane so AZ summers are messing with my mojo. I just got my first set of golf clubs and I'm eager to get out on the green often (and only partially because I love plaid shorts). I'm incredibly competitive in every aspect of my life and that nature has served me well. I think that hard work and perserverance will triumph over any shortcomings or obstacles.
I read voraciously. I keep up on current events and politics but I still sometimes refer to E! News as the actual news (and frankly, most of the time E! News is less depressing than the actual news). My family has instilled in my a huge love of sports and I love watching any game, be it live or on television...especially if the games involve the Red Sox, Steelers, Penguins or my alma mater, Penn State. Hockey is by far my favorite sport - thanks to Center Ice, I rarely miss watching a Pens game.
My friends and family are extremely important to me and I have been very lucky to have such an amazing group of people who love me (even if many of them live 2200 miles away), and they have set high standards as to the quality of person I let into my social circle. I am committed to my career - but I don't let my life revolve around it and I don't want a partner who does either. I love the life I have, but often find myself missing a companion to share it with.
I moved to AZ 8 months ago for my career and I love all the sporting events, restaurants and day trips the area has to offer. I'm definitely an East Coast girl through and through. I'm feisty, optimistic to a fault, adventurous, ridiculously silly, loyal, and independent. The kind of girl that thinks cycling for hours and sleeping on the ground in the woods is a good time. . I am a quiet person, slightly introverted. I was never a huge fan of the bar scene but that brief slice of time has come and gone in my life. I try to lead a stress free and honest life.
