I am a very independent and confident girl...I can handle pretty much anything. i own my own house and car. Everything that I have I have worked for...nothing has been handed to me.
I haven't been in a relationship in a little over a year and before that I hadn't dated for 3 years. I am ok with being by myself...I do not need a man..would I like one...well yes of course...but I do not NEED one. I miss having a companion but I do not miss the drama. I can't stand drama...
I am a Midwest chick...born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. I just moved here to Casa Grande in September after spending 11 years in the Navy. I have been, seen, and experienced many things thanks to the Navy. I spent my whole Naval career being stationed in California. I have been to Hawaii 4 times, Canada, Iraq for a year (with the Army), Japan, Thailand, Bahrain, Hong Kong, and Guam. i enjoyed my time in the Navy but it was just time to move on. I am finishing out my career as a reservist, since I am 9 years away from retiring.
I like to think that I am pretty easy to get along with...really haven't been told other wise. Pretty down to earth kind of girl...spontaneous I guess you could say. I love to laugh, be silly (one of my favorite things to do), can be sarcastic, defiantly witty and most of all have a good time no matter where I am or what I am doing, I love being around my family because they are some silly people and we always have fun together. I am a huge family person!
I am a single mom of an amazing little boy. He is about to turn 7. He is the strongest little fighter that I know. He has had to fight from the moment he was born, since he was born 3 months premature. He is in the 1st grade and is my little all star. He eats, sleeps, and dreams baseball. He has been playing baseball since he was 3. He's my best friend..we are always having coloring dates, movie dates, or game nights. I missed him terribly while I was deployed.
We have 2 dogs Tank and Bella...we love to take them to the dog park and love taking them for walks.
I love most sports...College (Ohio State and University of Cincinnati) and NFL (Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals), baseball (Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks, and basketball College (University of Cincinnati and Ohio State and NBA (Cleveland Cavilers and Phoenix Suns) hometown kind of girl. Since I was raised with 3 brothers I really had no choice but to love sports. I can shoot hoops, I can throw a football, and hit and toss baseball with the best of them. A little bit of a tom boy....but I can be a girlie girl also. I can hang with the boys and hang with the girls.
What I am looking for....let's see....I do not know anyone here except my Mom and my younger brother. I haven't been out anywhere since I moved here...so just looking to meet new people. and find out what AZ has to offer. Friendship...dating...then who knows what will happen. I would just like someone who is honest, trustworthy, caring, sweet, and has a GREAT sense of humor..if you think that might be you...then shoot me an email....

Meet someone special from Arizona, United States. I have been lucky in life and now I am looking to be lucky in love. I am a fun loving lady who loves to have a good time, and truly believes that laughter is the best medicine. However that said, I do know when and where to be serious and respect that trait in others. I have a passion for books(I am a teacher), you name it and I will probably read it. Movies are a close second with many hours on the couch engrossed in a flick. Having that special someone cuddled close makes the experience even more enjoyable. Whether staying in or going out, I think fun comes from who you are with rather than what you are doing. Good company can make what would have been a mundane experience a great time. I look forward to seeing what the future will bring with the right person and am optimistic that I will find someone to spend my life with.
But enough about me. If you like to have fun yet are also responsible and mature, things are off to a great start. It is also important that you are able to carry on a conversation whether the topic is silly or serious. Knowing about life so that you always have something to say is a definite bonus. I think its fantastic if your idea of fun is cuddling up on the couch with a movie or just relaxing together. However, I am not in the market for a total couch potato. If there is zero activity in your life, we will probably not be the best match.

I am in a new stage of my life. I put myself through college and am now in my first year of my profession. I take time to relax, breathe deeply, exercise more and make healthy choices. Grandma always said the way to a man's heart was through food. I love to cook! I made a mean lasagna, crispy fried chicken, chicken pot pie, home made bisciuts, all kinds of Paula D. type food (more butter anyone..lol). Switching to a healthier life style has been a bit rough, but I have not lost my love of cooking. It's a whole new world. I am discovering the many joys of cooking all over again...(vegan anyone?) Yes, I said vegan. My kids aren't on board with it yet, but we shall see. It's no fun cooking for just one. Food was meant to be enjoyed together.
I love to laugh, sing, and dance like no one is watching. I am passionate about the arts in the schools, taking care of my family, reading, animals, making the world a better place, and life long learning.
Every day is better and better. If you know where that saying originates, then we already have one thing in common.
