Meet people from Alabama, United States. Retired from the Army not long ago; I spent most of my time as a pilot. I have traveled all over the world and don’t plan on stopping. The big difference about traveling now, I will not plan on traveling to places where the local people want to shot at me. Remember retired sounds so old but after 20 years in the military you can retire. I got hurt playing Army in the desert so I don’t fly right now; I hope to go back to flying some day because I miss it so much. I have started my own business; so far so good. It’s a challenge and a change doing it all alone. But life goes on and we learn. Someday I hope to run into a lady that is as smart as she is beautiful. And most of all someone I can trust.

I enjoy traveling, both planned and spontaneous (like taking day trips). I also like dining out, but could probably impress you in the kitchen. I am an avid performing arts fan and like taking in shows in the local and extended area. I was born and raised in Connecticut and my family resides there. I like driving up there at least once a year to spend time with my parents and sisters family. I own a home here in Montgomery and spend some weekends working projects. I drive a Harley touring bike (very comfortable for a passenger) and enjoy riding when the weather cooperates.
Sounds pretty good so far, right? Well, I'm human and, trust me, I have faults as well (don't we all?).
What am I looking for in a partner? Ideally, my match would have a career and aspirations. She would have a great sense of humor and also have the capacity to be sincere. I'm an athletic, fun-loving (some might even say funny) guy who's as comfortable traveling to Taiwan/Hong Kong/Australia/Germany, etc. for a long weekend as I am with dinner and movie at home. Cruises were my vacation of choice, however, last year I managed an international trip nearly every month and have seen and done some wonderful things (that's a free roaming cockatoo in Sydney's Royal Botanic Garden on my shoulder). It would be great to meet someone who enjoyed travel as much as I do.
I enjoy animals and pets, but because of my occupation/schedule, can't keep one of my own. Sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine and watching and listening to the birds is about a relaxing a way to spend time as I can imagine.
Live music is my activity of choice if I'm looking for an evening out. I listen to pretty heavy music normally, but can enjoy just about anything with the right person/people. While not a great dancer by a long shot, I try. My favorite is the waltz (OK maybe I'm great at just that one).
