Date men and women from Los Angeles, United States. Hello and welcome to my "About" section. I truly believe that the simple things in life are what matter. I continue to try to surround myself with good people. I love to get the most out of L.A. I'm good with a bike ride to the beach or a downtown art installation. How about a bike ride to downtown for an art installation?
I love to travel, but have many places to go. I like to go places where I can learn about the culture of the destination and try to imagine myself having grown up there and what life would be like. I'm fine with a beach resort type vacation, but I prefer to dig a little deeper.
I'm into all things creative and my thoughts tend to dwell in that world. I've played guitar all my life, I'm on and off with photography, I work in video post and I love to see movies from the big block-busters to the off the wall indie flix and documentaries.
I usually try to play tennis or go biking every weekend. Many times I'll do both. Racquet sports are my favorite!
I'm really into eating healthy at least most of the time. I still eat pizza and greasy Chinese food, etc... but it is very rare that I eat McD's or Del Taco, etc.. I love to cook and although my menu is small, the quality is good.
I feel like I am fairly open about who I date. I don't like to say that I will only date this type or that type, so I will keep this short. You don't have to be a creative person yourself, but you should at least appreciate it. You don't have to have a passport full of stamps (I don't for sure), but you should be into traveling. I am very open minded and liberal when it comes to politics and I pay attention to what is going on in the world. If you watch 2-3 hours of reality TV a night and you plan on voting for Mitt Romney, we will not get along well. I am generally attracted to petite ladies. It's not a must, but that is usually what turns my head. I am allergic to some dogs and cats. Its OK if you have one, but just know that there is a chance that I'll be allergic to it.

While not a huge TV person, I do enjoy an occasional show - favorite being Sons of Anarchy. When I do watch TV it is usually something mindless to pass the time or as background noise to something else, but when a show does capture my imagination, I'll focus in on it.
I am a movie person but really enjoy live performances, such as comedy or theater. I really love improv and comedy.
I body board and enjoy a day at the beach, or walks along it.

A little about myself...I'm a Electrical Engineer Penn State alumni, work for a large software company as an Account Manager, enjoy playing/watching sports, in the gym 6 days a week and an avid road cyclist. When it comes to working out and sports i'm on the extreme end. As such i prefer women that are physically fit and share the same level of interest in working out. I just completed the Insanity workout program so now considering Crossfit certification. I've never been married or have any kids.
I do have a strict diet after being enlightened by some documentaries and several books. I drink home made juices no sodas. I stopped eating all red meat including chicken, turkey and dairy in Nov of last year. Most of the food i eat is organic...weekly trips to Wholefoods. Yes...i'm cool with spending time or being around people that don't have such a strict diet or else i'd be very lonely ;)
I believe in keeping stress to a minimum, so tend to distance myself from drama.

So many people write how they difficult they find this part. Me? I wrote too much and had to cut back! (That may sound pompous, but really I'm not).
I am on a path of self-discovery and growth. After several years of working on myself, I've reduced the baggage in my life to a small carry-on that can fit in the storage bin above my head or underneath the seat in front of me. Having said that, I'm not into any of the "New-Age" stuff. I'm on a spiritual journey in the metaphorical sense, *not* in the metaphysical sense. I don't believe in the Force, The Secret, or any other mumbo-jumbo. If you'll excuse me, I think the "Law of Attraction" is horseh*t.
I'm also fairly ambitious - recently changed jobs (now a stockbroker after 14 years in the tech biz), but I also love movies and would love to find a way to combine the two (I'm *NOT* looking for any contacts; like I said before, I have plenty of friends in "the biz").
Now, lest you think I’m intense, ambitious, and BORING, people tell me I’m a lot of fun to be around. I have a sense of humor that can be as dry as Monty Python or as wacky as Jim Carrey. I've also been known to sing karaoke (especially after I’ve had a couple of rounds to put me in the mood!). I can be the life of a party but I can also quietly observe a roomful of people.

I came back to LA for a few years and then, I departed for my educational tour along I-95 in the NE for a number of years. I recently moved back from Chicago where I was busy completing post-graduate training at a well-known academic center. While I am waiting for the MB of CA to process my application, I find myself with extra time to exercise, restore my 25 year old collectible automobile, travel, and do things that I never 'had' time for.
