What I can say is that I’ve been around long enough to know that dating in LA is unique...Easy to find a date, hard to find someone you want to continue to date. And I realized that pre-conceived notions of, “an ideal partner” are often rooted in fantasies that are meaningless when you are trying to find someone you want to wake up next to in 25 years. I’ve been surprised so many times over the past few years over whom I found compelling and whom I found inane that I’ve now refused to make a “must have” list. Well, except one...you have to love to laugh.
As for me, I’m a bit more of a contradiction. On the surface, I appear to be the stereotypical guy that you would expect. I throw charity events at my house. I have season tickets to the Geffen and the LA Opera house. I fly to Paris every year and pretend to a Parisian and eat nothing but cheese, wine, and bread for a week.
On the other hand, I fly to India and South America for medical missions. I don’t own a car (in LA, I know) and run to work. I ride a motorcycle and have tattoos. I don’t have a TV and haven’t for five years.
As with everything in this world, nothing is as simple as it appears.
