This is very strange to me as I never thought i would ever go online and do this, but here I am! Clearly what I was doing wasn't working as I was not meeting the kind of girl that I'm interested in. I have to admit I am very much old school , I learned everything worth knowing from my dad, he inspires me every day even though he's gone. I really enjoy riding my street bike, music, photography, surfing, scuba diving,camping but not roughing it (I love my toy hauler, it's kinda like camping only nicer). Date someone special from Vista, United States. I'm new at this. I am a fairly outgoing and energetic person. A positive attitude is key. I like to laugh a lot and be upbeat. My friends think I'm funny, but I really just like having a good time with them. Barbeques and margaritas are fun, and I consider myself a pretty decent cook. Meeting people is interesting and enjoyable, which is probably why my church utilizes me as a door greeter and usher. I am a Christian, but not uptight or judgmental--everyone walks their own spiritual path. I enjoy learning new things (as long as it's not mechanical), and encountering new and different challenges and experiences. I believe it is important to exercise regularly and pride myself on being physically strong. I work out at a gym minimum of four days a week to keep fit. Traveling around the world has been a hobby of mine, but this past year I've stayed closer to home. One of my favorite things to do is ride my Harley Street Glide trike around the local mountains (NOT a biker chick!) and in the mountains of central and northern Arizona. It's fun and relaxing to ride to a remote location, sit on a rock in the middle of nowhere, and enjoy God's creation. Boating has been a passion (both sail and power), and I have owned several of each, but I don't currently have one. I am an avid NFL fan and love football season! Go Bolts! I also enjoy relaxing on my front porch, reflecting and enjoying the late afternoon and sunset. . .often with a glass of wine and listening to good music. As a widow, life has dealt me a few blows. But one benefit that resulted is I have slowed the pace of my life down and discovered a renewed awareness and compassion for those who are less fortunate than myself. I know I am blessed, and I continually strive to "Walk the Talk" and not just "Talk the Walk". I try to help those less fortunate and in need whenever I can. Why am I on this site? Initially, looking for a friend who has compassion, a good sense of humor, likes to have fun and enjoy life and who is a little crazy (in a good way) like me. Date a woman from California, United States. OK I'm back. Decided to give this another try as I have met some very nice people through Match. Marriage is not a requirement for me, but I am looking for my companion and a committed relationship. I would like to find someone who would enjoy whipping up a meal with me in the kitchen with a bottle of wine or knows his way around the barbecue. I like going out but am perfectly content staying home and spending a romantic night together. I like fishing and I'm charter master for a two day tuna trip every year out of Point Loma. I also like fresh water fishing.Fished in Alaska for the first time last summer. Caught a 44lb. King Salmon. I live in Mission Viejo but am moving to VISTA Aug 1st.. My companion must love pets. I work out with a trainer 2 days a week and have done so for about 17 years so exercise is important. I do not snow ski anymore if that is important to you. I've reached a point where I love tropical vacations and not the cold. I'm conservative in my politics, but mainly fiscally conservative.
