I'm at my best when I'm working with others for a good cause; for example, some of the most fun I've had is while volunteering for a blood drive I helped organize for my college.
I have lots of friends that I like to explore San Diego with, but I am ready to have a serious relationship and would love to find a great guy to be my partner in adventures, good conversations, and lots of laughter.

It was an "embarrassing" moment. Sitting in the first row of first aid/CPR classroom, I was the second one to answer the typical beginning-of-a-class question: who are you and why are you here. I answered:" I am a grad student, I am here is because I always imagine one day I will run into a situation where someone is dying in front of me, while I know nothing to do, and I will regret for the rest of my life. " I got a little emotional by my own statement, but I calmed myself down and stopped going into details, thankfully, because I was followed by the rest of the class with the same short answer: because I need a job in gym which requires this class. I could even feel my blush, yes, I was a little embarrassed, but I was also proud of myself......
I am a mix, in the sense that: A.I can be both extroverted and introverted. Believe it or not, I once had a solo performance before more than 500 people; I am the one who brings laughter to my lab; always order dishes with the most weird name in the restaurant (it always turns out to have a weird taste as well, then i will shrug my shoulder and steal food from my friends, hahaha)WHILE enjoy decorating my home into a relaxing, warm and comfortable place to live in, gardening and raising a dog, because I enjoy having chit chat with plants and animals(I will make up a whole dialog between me and them, hope this won't scare you away :p ); drawing, I am developing my fast sketch skill right now. I like the idea that a few lines can capture the whole spirit. B.I am both rational and have rich emotion. (my male friends complain to me about how ridiculous or irrational girls are, I just don't get it, I have never done those things, neither have any of my female friends, so before I heard those complaints, I only thought I was emotional :) )
Besides the goofy sides of me, I am pretty ambitious about my research, and I have a more complicated career plan, but I know it takes time to master all of them, so I will be patient. And also now I am starting to do some volunteer work, because my research interest is in basic science field, too little direct impact on society, making me feel that I am so "selfish" that I only care about my intellectual curiosity, I want to balance it out by volunteering.
All right, let me lighten the topic a little bit: In the workplace I need to think like a man, and in the daily communication I like to be mischievous, making fun of friends and myself (because I personally dont like girls who are always graceful, polite and girly --- boring~~~~)but actually I am very caring and empathetic inside :)
