San Diego's the fifth place I've called home in in the past couple years, and although I moved here in 2010, much of my time since then was spent elsewhere. This is still very much a new, exciting place to be, and as I'm finally back and staying put for awhile I'm looking forward to exploring more of it.
I grew up in Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!) surrounded by an amazing family, but it's much to early to say whether I'd like to return there someday or not. Since then, I've moved around a good amount and have managed to make some incredible friends, and it's great to have someone to catch up with in most places.
I guess I'm best described as extroverted in a quiet way, if that makes sense. I love going out with friends or to meet people, but I'm never the loud one in the room - usually I'm the one deep in a conversation about God knows what. The one maxim I've come to live by is that a good smile, politeness, and dressing decently go further than you'd expect.
I'm a very active person, and my favorite aspect of San Diego is the huge number of things to do outside. Finding new routes to run is at the top of my list, but I'm getting back into climbing quite a bit and I'm slowly getting into more mountain biking and surfing as well.
From what I've seen so far, San Diego is an amazing place to live (being able to split lanes on a motorcycle is enough by itself to make it great living here), but I can't say I'm finished exploring yet. There are many more places to see before I'm ready to settle down somewhere, but I am positive that I'd like someone to share those experiences with.
