Date a soulmate from Ojai, United States. Easy going creative working artist. love the outdoors, quiet time in nature for clearing mind and heart and finding connection to the source for inspiration. Healing touch, finding gratitude in simple things in life. Open to exploring unknown adventures of life. Live, love, dance. Personal chef trade has become my specialty for group retreats and private weddings etc.. I am good at coordinating events which takes a lot of multitasking skills when necessary, but when I am off duty I am very relaxed and fully enjoy free time with no particular plans or schedule. Hot springs, massage and creating functional art. I am told I always appear very calm and relaxed even in the most hectic working conditions when I am cooking for groups on a schedule. I don't find freaking out to be very helpful in times like these. Grateful to bring joy to people and laughter brings lightness to any situation and puts things in perspective. Life is too short to waste being unhappy. I am also a caregiver and enjoy time with my beautiful 90 year young mother as well as my son who is 20 and well on his way to becoming a chef in his own right. Still good friends with my ex and his wife has become very dear to me as well. Life is good. The more I am in gratitude, the better life gets. Planning on spending more time at the beach this summer......
Meet someone special from Ojai, United States. I hope to have an equally honest, caring, giving and adventureous relationship based upon trust, admiration and respect for each We should both be confident in our individual strengths and support each other in our weaknesses. I like men who are happy and sure of themselves. A woman is not the center of their world but a very important and intimate part of it! I would like to also start a relationship based upon friendship first (not always possible!).
I love being outside in jeans but I like to get dressed up, too! Wine tasting, concerts, sight seeing or just sitting by the fireplace- it's all good!
Photos are: My daughter's wedding- May 16, 2009 (walking her down the aisle with her dad and my family); drinking mixed drinks in the back of a pick-up in Houma, La for Mardi Gras (Feb 09); 2 of me on my horse; Crater Lake in Oregon (Oct 08), Lake Tahoe (Oct 11); my new puppy- Hondo (Oct 11); and wine tasting in a limo to Paso Robles for my Mom's 85th birthday (Aug 11).
Date someone special from United States. I am open to new adventures. I am kind, supportive, warm, and friendly. I love to laugh, I move through my heart, I love to read and have great conversations. I have an M.S.Ed. in Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology. I worked in the Corp. world for several years in big Pharma, the last few years I have been home raising my boys, I have one at home and one off to school. I am now in the process of trying to develop and grow my business.
I am the first one to go to college on both sides of my family, I am a white collar girl with blue collar roots and I am very comfortable in both worlds. I am not too shy one on one but tend to be a little shy in large groups but at the same time I can get up in front of 100 people or so to give a lecture, workshop or presentation, give them a laugh or two and make each one feel that I am talking just to them. I am not a “cook”, there are 12 or 13 things that I make that are really good but after that we might be in a little trouble LOL!! I would love working in the kitchen putting a meal together with someone and even taking a cooking class. When the kids were growing up we spent many summers camping in the pines, we went with a group and took turns cooking for the whole crew each night. So the days of going a few days without an shower isn’t as appealing to me, but it would be fun to go camping with a group once in a while as long as it is in a motor home, of course hotels are nice too!
Family is very important to me, I love kids. I like watching football with my boys. I love being in the snow at Christmas, but I am not a skier, (I got tired of landing on my butt). Exercise has always been a part of my life off and on for many years I worked with weights, other various forms of exercise, but now I mostly walk and would be interested in hiking and maybe even cycling. I like movies, plays, music, socializing with friends, parties, going out to dinner, entertaining, concerts, traveling, and I like quiet time at home watching movies, having a fire, you know all that other good stuff.
I love it when a man can make me laugh, not over the top just a nice sense of humor, and can laugh with me as well as at himself. I am looking for someone who is open and has a warm heart, who loves a good conversation, likes a balance of play and home life. Someone who is kind, hard working and enjoys an intelligent woman, someone who is willing to reach out a hand as I reach out mine.
Guys I would appreciate it if you have a picture so I can get a feel for who I am talking to, thanks.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I am an honest and trusting christian. I like to have fun, I like to play pool, I like to ride on motorcycles, I like horses and all animals. I have 2 dogs, pit bull and chihuahua. I still like to play a little softball sometimes (church league) nothing too competative. I am very active in my church (first baptist) I volunteer and various activities around the church. Looking for someone who is family oriented, likes the outdoors, likes to go out or just stay home and watch a good movie. I like tattoos (I have a few myself). Basically just looking for someone to spend time with and enjoy life.

Meet people from Ojai, United States. I am going against the grain by doing this online thing. I enjoy meeting in person so I can get a real feel and eye to eye contact but reality is as I mature it is more difficult to meet people as the party scene is non existent for me. Thast being said, I am open and willing to try new and different people, places and things. I am a loving, generous and thoughtful woman who would like to have someone to share life's ups and downs with. I don't want to play any games and won't waste your time if it doesn't feel right. I am laidback, caring, have a great smile and on many occasions have been described as an old hippie (59). I guess my live and let live attitude along with enjoying comfort more than pretense would have a lot ot do with that, along with a very diverse past of many accomplishments, failures, opportunities and experiences. I am independent yet yearn for someone close to have intimate conversation with and share those moments that so often happen and you think oh I wish there was someone else here to experience this with me. I love to travel as much as just relax and stay put. I am very old fashioned when it comes to dating and relationship so although I am on the computer, I know I won't make the first move so, if you want to take a risk and find out if there is something worth working on, contact me. I would prefer to meet in person for coffee or tea or to take a walk. I am looking for a long term committed, monogomous relationship so you are looking for the same let's see what is possible.
Date men and women from United States. “Filling in the blanks” was relatively easy; writing an “essay about me”, not so much so. I continue to be part of the job market, have a job I love, and the most beautiful commute in the world – from Ojai, via highway 150 and beautiful Lake Casitas to Carpinteria, and not one single mile of it on the freeway. What could be better? The only thing I can think of would be actually stopping at the Lake, putting my boat in the water and spending the day fishing.
Yes, I absolutely love to fish. The biggest drawback is that I totally stink at backing that trailer into the water. Somehow, my brain just refuses to imprint itself with the fact that youРІР‚в„ўve got to turn the wheels in the opposite direction that you want to the trailer to go. Totally counter-intuitive to me, but some people obviously have it down pat. You get extra points if you know the routine! While on the subject of fishing, I do think Match.com needs to revise their list of interests though to show fishinghunting as two separate activities. IРІР‚в„ўve nothing against it, but IРІР‚в„ўm definitely not a hunter.
I also really enjoy cooking and have a wonderful collection of cookbooks as a result. When I got married and was fretting about not really knowing much about cooking, my Mother’s response was that anyone who can read, can cook. In a way, she’s absolutely right, but she neglected to mention that to be really good, you’ve got to enjoy the process as well. Fortunately, I love to be creative in the kitchen. It’s an activity whose results can be shared with those you care about and, if the end result turns out well, everyone’s a winner. I don’t watch a lot of television, but the Cooking Channel is definitely programmed into my favorites on the remote control. So, if you enjoy being the sous chef (read, “assistant”), you get extra points as well!
Another of my creative outlets is gourd art. That sounds pretty bizarre to those who arenРІР‚в„ўt familiar with it, so IРІР‚в„ўve posted a picture here also of one of my finished pieces. The wonderful thing about hard-shelled gourds (which are not the decorative type you see at Thanksgiving) is that when dried, they are very wood-like and so lend themselves to being carved, dyed, woodburned and embellished with all sorts of things. OneРІР‚в„ўs imagination and ingenuity are the only limitations. The gourd shown here was carved, woodburned, painted and embellished so I used many of the techniques available in creating it.
I’m a big Laker fan and am still licking the wounds from their loss in the play offs – to say nothing of the fact that they traded one of my favorite players, Derek Fisher, to the Thunder. For that reason, I rooted for the Thunder during the finals but that was not to be either. There’s always next season –right? Go Lakers! Go Fish!
In addition to fishing, I also enjoy camping, hiking, reading, gardening and weekend drives to new places. IРІР‚в„ўm looking for someone to share some of these activities. If youРІР‚в„ўre able to laugh at yourself as easily as you do at other things, you also get extra points. ItРІР‚в„ўs perfectly okay to be serious, but taking oneself too seriously can be off-putting. I am a spontaneous, affectionate and relatively outgoing person who loves to laugh and share with those I care about. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
Meet people from United States. Brains and a heart to match. I want to travel and be happy. I am easy going and happy to get to know someone, but look out, I am an animal hidden under my nice manners. I have energy and want to do lots of things with it.
Date a woman from United States. I am easy to get along with and really enjoy everyone no matter what! I love to seek the fine points of everyone ! I will do almost anything! I enjoy the out doors best. I would rather be outside then inside, but of course I still have the desk responsibility. I strive to keep active while I still can! I am open for almost anything! I believe a relaytionship should be give and take. I do not want to meet anyone that is not a happy person! Life is too short! Experiences are the musts in life. When I am old then I can settle to be sedentary! I love to travel and have many great friends! I go to the gym almost everyday as I believe that to enjoy life to the max, I must take care of myself. My children live in New York and Colorado.
I am looking for someone that has a positive outlook on life and wants to explore the world with me and to just simply enjoy life and what it brings. I will not settle for less. I try to remove myself from those that bring me down. I have many hobbies and will not put up with anyone who can ever say that they are bored. There's not much more to say! My idea of church is a nice hike into the back country.
Meet someone special from United States. Well, I decided it is time to be adventurous and thry this--- not something I would normally do, but tired of enjoying life without that special somebody---
I live outside of Southern California where the best weather is, love to be outdoors and active--
Most days spent working, hanging out with best friends, enjoy cooking, traveling lots, music (especially country, but love most music), and lots of wine, if you find this interesting, we possibly could meet and see how things evolve over a glass of wine, or just a walk outside.
Date people from United States. Someone who likes to eat good food since I like to cook and do wine tastings and eat at tasty restaurants. Someone who enjoys quiet time with a good book on the beach or in a camping setting or at home. Someone who is a competent camper and/or backpacker and feels at home in that setting. A mature person who enjoys culture, concerts (The Living Room Tour featuring Carol King few years back year was fabulous!) live theatre (Pageant of the Masters) and music (Mama Mia, The Lion King). Someone who enjoys an occasional road trip to explore new places and is okay with me taking along my easel and paintbox. A person who enjoys life, doesn't have too many hang-ups, likes smelling the roses and listening to the birds. A gentleman who is looking for a woman who is mature, sure of herself and intelligent.
Meet a woman from United States. I have been widowed for 11 years and am looking for someone to share some of my interests. I enjoy horseback riding, golf and hiking. I also enjoy going to symphonies, concerts and shows. I am very versatile. Trying to find current pictures to post.
