Meet people from United States. I am a super friendly and outgoing person who tries to take care of himself. I am a "foodie" at heart. and I love to cook. I find I take myself a little too seriously at times, only because I want to be the best I can be. I am compassionate and easily approachable. I also like to consider myself a resonable and fair person. I do smile all day long and try to find the good in all people (until you prove me wrong). I am self employed and have always loved the freedom. I work very hard at everything I do, including my family, my friends, my job, my animals and my home. I like to consider myself a renaisance man; well rounded in all aspects of life. I was a philosophy/econ major in college. That makes me a little crazy. I have literally traveled around the world. That makes me open minded and thankful for what I have at home. I often wear cowboy hats, but I also wear many "hats", and am as confortable in one as the other. My daughters and granddaughter are my priority in life (they are the ones that talked me into this online dating thing). I have a 21 year old daughter at home who works hard but still stuggles raising her 4 yr old daughter, and a 17 year old daughter who is still in high school. We come as a package deal. They are very independent, but I am thankful for them being in my life everyday. I was married to the same woman for over twenty years. I believe in commitment and honesty. But all I want to do right now is share my spare time with someone special, eating well, drinking a little and laughing a lot. I do like dancing (not that Im great at it), but I do not like the "bar scene". That is another reason Im here rather than there. (Oh, and if it matters, I did cut my hair).
I would like to eventually find a life partner, but all I am looking for is a friend. I am looking for someone who knows who they are and what they want in life, and are working towards that end in some fashion, even if its in the slightest way. I would like someone who is passionate about something, anything (well almost) and knows what pleases her.
I believe in love at first sight, but I have also come to realize that real love comes from being friends first.
