Date someone special from Fairfax, United States. Howdy. Thanks for taking a peek at my profile. Please read in entirety before responding. I have taken a hiatus from dating/relationships for last couple of years. Now that I have caught up and have things back in order, I wish to return to dating, hopefully to find a friend, maybe more, depending on how things go.
A little bit about me. 6 ft tall, fit, in shape. A combination of good genes and a fair amount of physical activity over the years has allowed me to retain some youthfulness, and I'm usually mistaken for younger than my years. I assume I'm reasonably attractive, or at least not too entirely scary, as women and children don't scream when I pass them on the street, nor am I pelted with rocks while out in public. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kinda guy. GQ hasn't exactly been banging down my door to pose for their cover. But, I do clean up ok though. and own a suit.
I'm carrying around with me minimal baggage. I do not have any kids (technically), at least that I'm legally responsible for. I do have a Stepson (ex wife's son). When I met my ex, he was just a baby. He is now 16 and looks me in the eye. Yikes!! Even though I have been divorced a looong time, him and I have always had a tight relationship and he considers me his "dad", and is here frequently. I get along with my ex, don't have any child support or alimony payments, nor crazy exes stalking me. I live in the small town of Fairfax in my old house that dangles precariously off the side of a steep hill under a canopy of 25 redwood trees. I like it here, err, uhh, well, except for the mortgage payment. Yikes!! (again). I live alone with my Monsters. I'm an animal lover and have several, the majority either being rescues or strays that found me.
Unlike most profiles, I don't have a long list of what I have to have, or have to not have. I would like to find someone I'm physically attracted to , and who I have intelligent conversation with, go out out on a date, and see what happens from there. She would have to like animals and not be allergic. And she would have to be BOTH 420 and 437737 friendly.

I have an often cold nose and a good sense of smell. But I’m pretty sure those are the only characteristics I share with a golden retriever. Oh wait – we’re both loyal. And friendly. And have great hair.
Seeing live music is a passion of mine, and living in Fairfax, I get to indulge that need fairly often. I like many types of music, though IРІР‚в„ўm probably overly fond of the Beatles and Tom Petty.
IРІР‚в„ўm not much of a cook, but do appreciate good food and eat organic as much as possible. But my kids know how to pick up the phone for dinner.
I love adventure and travel. I took my kids back to their birth places in China and Taiwan in 2010. That was my last big trip. I'd love to do more international travel, and travel in the American west. I've now lived in the Bay Area longer than anywhere else. It's pretty great out here - the people, the weather, the outdoor lifestyle, the awe-inspiring beauty. I'm well-travelled through much of the U.S. (I have family in Seattle, New England and the south). But I still haven't seen (and would like to go to): Glacier Nat'l Park, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Alaska, Ashland, OR and Santa Fe. I'm also interested in doing more international travel.
A few thoughts about my guy:
You have an easy smile and use it often. We make each other laugh. A lot. Life is full of serious stuff, but having fun is the order of the day when weРІР‚в„ўre together. And fun can be just appreciating a beautiful day, and going out for breakfast and a hike in Marin. Heading out to hear some live music at night. Enjoying each otherРІР‚в„ўs company. You are generous with your time to your community, friends and family. You have a big heart. I sure hope you enjoy kissing as much I do.
You gotta be cool with kids (I have 2 teenaged boys). And understand that as a mom who has her kids full-time and works Mon-Fri, I don’t have tons of free time. But know that I really look forward to seeing you on the weekend – and hopefully a date night or two during the week.
