Date a soulmate from Half Moon Bay, United States. I'm a no-nonsense type, looking for what everyone else is looking for: my dream woman. My lady will treat herself with respect as well as treating others with respect. She will intoxicate me with her inner and outer beauty, and also be my buddy when I want to shoot some pool or lose to her in backgammon, which I will gracefully do if she's a wicked board game player. Sense of humor is a must. Able to hike, surf, or cycle all day, then need only 5 minutes to look amazing and go out to Gary Danko with me.
Zat you? Then, email. No winks. No dozen looks at my profile but making no moves.
Come and get me, dream woman. I'm waiting for you.
Meet single man from California, United States. Honesty is everything to me, I'm hoping to find someone who takes care of themself and wants someone who does the same. Someone who cares about core values, respects a man who works hard and plays hard.
I like to do things that make someone happy. I hate negativity and my cup is always at least half full. I want to be around someone who feels the same way. I would like to be with someone who can be my best friend, my lover, my companion, all in one.
My sons are grown and out of college and on their own and I'm proud of both of them. They are two of my best friends.
I grew up on a ranch, raised horses and cattle at home, use to rodeo quite a lot, but anymore with the demands on your time of a modern society, I pretty much have adjusted to the immediate satisfaction of jumping on my Harley and going for a ride, going camping, hunting or fishing, or taking my jet ski to the lake. I will occasionally sky dive or scuba dive, or golf. I enjoy concerts in the park. I enjoy the ocean and live both in Half Moon Bay and Ukiah, However my office is in Cupertino. Some things I do yearly is travel to a family home in Montana,( would like to live there some day or maybe Idaho, I love the mountains) meet my sons in Idaho, go to Caba San Lucas, Maui, anyplace.
Traveled some, mostly the lower 48 and Alaska, some in Canada and Mexico and Tahit, Cozumel, Maui
I would like to find someone who makes me laugh, who likes adventure, and appreciates being with someone who takes pride in themselves and wants to enjoy life. Being physically fit is a must.
Also they have to be a happy person who cares about their personal appearance, and health. A positive attitude is a must. Life is too short to waste worrying about something that will probably not happen anyway.
Almost forgot, you have to like to hold hands, cuddle, hug, and kiss, let someone treat you like you're special. Lastly, I like a woman who can wear blue jeans and sneakers and a ball cap, as well as an elegant evening gown for a night out, and feel comfortable in both.
Reading this again reminds me, I love listening to a strong winter storm while cuddled up in front of a warm fire with a glass of wine, anywhere, the sound of winter is just as secure as the warmth of the sun.
I was raised as a gentleman and know how to treat a lady.
Date a man from California, United States. Recently divorced after 31 years of marriage and want to enjoy a beautiful relationship. I have three beautiful daughters, all grown up now, and have been successful with my investments and career.
This feels very strange joining all of you, but at the same time I want to explore my potential with you.
Meet someone special from California, United States. As you can see from the photos, I like to be around horses. I agree with Winston Churchill and Ronald Reagan - "there is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man." Two outdoor activities I enjoy are horseback riding and kayaking because both provide a sense of adventure and sometimes awesome natural beauty that can't be seen any other way ("I came to a fork in the road, and took the path less traveled, and it made all the difference").
I am by nature optimistic, decisive, express confidence and have a clear idea of where I am headed.
I seek a woman who is thoughtful, playful, imaginative, romantic, and resourceful, who knows her own mind and where she would like to be.
How to describe myself? If lyrics and melodies from songs expressed my feelings, then these might describe the following situations: On when we meet - Enchanted (Taylor Swift), On getting to know you - Take Me There (Rascal Flatts), On the first kiss - Sweet and Wild (Dierks Bentley), How you feel about me - That's Where It Is (Carrie Underwood), How I feel about you - My Love Follows You Where You Go (Alison Krauss).
I think things work out best when the talents, interests and skills of a couple complement each other. I am happy to share with you everything I know, and look forward to learning from you and your experiences.
I have on occasion admired fine art in Museums, and appreciate fine craftsmanship and history. If this is an interest of yours, consider it an interest of mine.
I find myself at ease in fine attire and formal places and situations, but prefer blue jeans and a stetson. If you would like to dress up and go somewhere, I would be delighted to be at your side and the envy of every man in the room.
Date a soulmate from Half Moon Bay, United States. ... as in: I think so far outside of it. OK, its a rather obtuse reference, but they only allow so many characters in the title.
Before, you get too involved in this profile: I live aboard a 62 ft ketch (the longest I've lived anywhere, 19 yrs) and plan to retire on it someday (i.e., land-lubbers need not apply). Extra points if you know the difference between a yawl and a ketch. I enjoy the solitude of boat life and having the option to just chuck it all in and leave, but (as Carlin would say) still be able to bring all my s..[stuff] with me. People that live on boats, as opposed to those that just visit their boats on the weekend, tend to be quiet, confident, and slightly anti-social. We prefer to say "independent". We are not into the pursuit of material things since, if you buy something new, you have to throw something old away. Only so much will fit on a boat.
Yes I'm divorced, she had the mid-life crisis and traded me in for two 20's many years ago, the boat came much later and had nothing to do with the divorce.
Now for the usual:
I enjoy kayaking (own my own), nature photography (finally went digital), movies (don't own a functional TV, I just rent DVDs). I favor function over form. I am an entrepreneur/scientist/engineer. I've had the good fortune to "write the book" on new discoveries several times in my career and in several different scientific disciplines. I'm still involved in the third (my 10 year old start-up), the fourth is closing in on funding now (a person's always go to have a backup plan), and a fifth is now in progress. Does it ever end?
I try to shop in Chinatown and at ethnic markets as often as possible, and always pick up something new to experience. Ever had Chinese Hash Browns (stir fried taro root, onions, garlic, mushrooms, with Hoisin sauce), asparagus soup spiced with habanero chilies, very dark chocolate infused with five spice powder and orange zest? These are some of my favorite creations. I obviously enjoy cooking (chinese, thai, mexican, middle eastern or something in between or even outside the box). I heartily agree that chocolate (the higher the coco solids the better) is its own food group and am man enough to admit it. I also eat quiche. While I do have several cookbooks, gifts from well-intentioned friends, they are quite dusty and tend to creak when you open them. While my diet is mostly vegetarian, its not a religious thing. I will eat anything prepared well.
Things I've never done and always wanted to do: visit Macho Picchu and other early American ruins (just returned from Belize), peer down into an active volcano from its rim (e.g., Yasur in Vanuatu), trek New Zealand's South Island, fly an ultra-light, dive the Greek and Turkish ruins off their respective coasts, and kayak down the upper Missouri river, swim with the whale sharks off the Galapagos. Things I'd like to do again: dive the Great Barrier Reef, a bareboat charter anywhere tropical far from the madding crowds (perhaps Tonga), revisit the Olympic Peninsula and the San Juan Islands, and Monument Valley in winter.
I hate the gym, but do find the time anyway. Just what year are those endorphins supposed to kick in?
Meet a soulmate from United States. Well I hope I know myself pretty good, and when I look into the mirror hopefully this is the person I want to be.
I am easygoing at times, yet focused when I need to be.I have been told I have a huge heart, well if that is true, I would like to share it with someone, and I have a strong passion for life.
Some people frequently mistake my even-keeled tempement for seriousness when they first meet me. However when you get to know me, I am full of fun and laughter. And giving. I take care of those I feel strongly for and Love, I cherish all of my friends, and I am a very proud Father of a wonderfull 20 year old Son. And I Love all kinds of Music, and I am constantly learning to play the Guitar.I like riding my Bicycles as much as possible.
I am looking for a mate to be happy in life, a lot of fun, good sense of humor, and attractive (to me)and takes care of herself,in fitness and health. I want someone who can laugh at herself and enjoy life. She has to have a connection with her family or have a strong sense of what that means.
Date someone special from United States. i am passionate for what i believe in, unconditional with friends, uncompromising for whats right.and generous with those who deserve it. im comfortable with laughing at myself and i recognise the oh so many roads. i cry at sad movies and i dont back down.
Meet a man from United States. Life is here to enjoy, and it would be wonderful to find the right one to enjoy it with.
I love getting out and exploring. Whether it is having an adventure in our own back yard or traveling. We pay a high admission price to live in the Bay Area (the cost of living, housing, etc.), so we better get out and enjoy this great amusement park of ours. There are so many great things to do: walks on the beach, going to the City, getting together with friends, or a bike ride along the coastal trail. A wonderful evening can be a dinner at home, or going out on the town.
I am an architect, and I am very passionate about what I do. As well designing buildings, I enjoy sculpting, and painting, and inventing! There is a real joy in creation. I am in the process of building my own home. I am doing all the things that are too unusual for my clients to do, as well as too difficult contractors to build.
I believe in taking care of myself. I exercise every morning by doing water aerobics, which helps that bad back of mine stay flexible. I live in Half Moon Bay within walking distance to the beach, downtown and my office. I usually bicycle into town to run my errands instead of taking my car.
I don’t have children, but I love playing with them. I am an honorary uncle so many kids. There is nothing like getting down on the floor and playing them you forget all of life’s ordinary troubles. Watching them grow up is fascinating. Nothing like having a intellectual discussion with a teenager.
I am open to making friends to finding a soul-mate. Give me a call and will find out what the future has in store for us!
Date someone special from Half Moon Bay, United States. I do like music, outdoors, good food ( don`t care if we cook it go out or what. love motor sports (drive my "vintage" go kart) for a hell of a lot of fun but enjoy a peaceful moment looking out at the harbor where I live or a trip to the mountains to a favorite lakeside cabin. Have also enjoyed my stays in San Diego, and its been far too long since I was in Italy alltough I have friends and family there.
Meet a man from Half Moon Bay, United States. I am not on Match to find a wife, nor am I here to find a 'fling'. I'm looking for a true and special friend and if there's a true mutual "connection", a lasting relationship.
- I have a good sense of humor which is probably best characterized as dry or (playfully) sarcastic.
- I have a few hobbies and they seem to have evolved over time. For example, I now find myself volunteering more, although you might not think of volunteering at Pebble Beach golf tournaments as `sacrificing' my time for others. I currently `work' 4-5 tournaments a year in the Bay Area.
- My favorite `distraction' is golf and do quite well at it. I've always been very fortunate to pick up sports quickly and become good at them...maybe not great, but I would typically be able to hold my own in the sport. Golf, tennis, racquetball, horseback riding (jumping), snow skiing, etc.
- I enjoy more mundane activities such as gardening/landscaping, remodeling, hiking, strolls on the beach, enjoying a nice glass of wine and a movie, etc. I'm an (uneducated) fan of architecture and love walking around the residential areas of Carmel (where I own a condo), and admiring the varied styles of homes. I recently purchased my 'pre-retirement' retirement home which I spent time getting ready to rent out until I'm ready to retire...when and if that ever happens.
- My first mid-life crisis occurred four years ago when I bought a new sports car that I use on weekends and for trips down the coast to Carmel/Monterey. My latest mid-life crisis is a classic sports car I acquired in 2010 (a Ferrari Dino) that I've improved and enjoy showing a couple times a year.
- I'm also open to tackling new challenges and opportunities to learn from that special person. They say that as you get older, you become inflexible to new ideas or experiences...set in your ways. I'd like to think that I don't fit that mold.
A little more about the special lady I'm looking for;
- You must like cats. I have two adorable 7yr old females I've had since they were 6 months old and they are very clingy and very affectionate. Best of all, they hold no grudge if I'm away from them for a vacation.
- You like to eat (within reason, of course...see definition of `fit'). I'm not into really fancy or too exotic, but I like most cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, seafood, Thai, and of course, pizza.
- You would like to travel, especially since I feel I have not done enough of that in my lifetime...I have a strange craving to visit Capri.
- You want to share yourself and your time with me, but you may also have other interests which you want to share with others. So if you're not into golf, for example, I wouldn't expect you to be dragged along with me. Likewise, if you just have to maintain that weekly crochet club gathering, I would hope you'd understand if I passed on that opportunity to spend extra time with you.
- Absolutely you must have a good sense of humor. You can be shy, especially around people you don't know, and I don't expect you to be the life of the party. In case you're wondering, I also just described myself.
So if you think I might fit your requirements and you fit mine, then let's see if there is that `spark'

Meet someone special from California, United States. I am a hard working professional but very able to take time to be with someone I enjoy. Love to do lots of things including ski, hike, tennis, volleyball, bicycle, and just hang out and have a great time.
Love great books and films. Enjoy a nice slow dinner in a great environment. Like people when they are real but don't like the superficial type who are not ready to really look at themselves and see how their human flaws could always be worked on. Got plenty of those, but believe in being able to change.
I have lived a blessed life. though plenty of challenges have been handed my way. I still have endless things to be grateful for. Great siblings, two healthy kids, a wonderful profession and great working partners. I treasure my ability to perceive beauty, to be able to truly listen to others and converse deeply, and feeling at times a natural state of compassion. I do have the gene for biophilia, a love for all of life. I can be totally amazed at a setting sun, a profound insight, or marvel at a super athletic play, or an amazing musical performance. I love well written language, though don't profess to write well myself. (Loved the King's Speech!). I do want to take time getting to know another person deeply and then rediscover how joyful life can be.
