Meet someone special from Scottsdale, United States. I'm pretty much the bee's knees. The cat's meow. Possibly the greatest person you'll ever meet. I mean it is hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way. Well...I'm obviously kidding about this. My sense of humor ranges from the obvious to the observational to dry wit and how it's delivered. Timing is everything.
I enjoy a lot of the things that most others enjoy as well. I like to hike and golf and travel. I'd like to travel more often than I actually do. I enjoy nice dinners and wine. I try to cook a little, and I think I grill a mean ribeye. Of course, I enjoy a good sporting event, concert, and our many festivals we have here. I'm one of the good ones. So let's get the serious stuff out of the way first. I am a man. I am not looking for a woman to affirm my masculinity...no woman should be saddled with that burden. I am coming off an extended period of forced singleness that I spent working on me and regaining my passion for life. I've got my baggage down to a carry-on that fits into the compartment above my head. It is with a small bit of trepidation that I toss my hat back in the dating ring. BTW, I need that hat back.
Enough of that. Despite what was said above I am a bit of a goofball that loves to laugh and do crazy, exciting and adventurous things! I have a wicked sense of humor and have been known to make people laugh till they had to charge off the bathroom. I love a good conversation with someone smart that has a quick wit. Debate can be fun also and I am not above admitting you are right (GASP!).
As of this writing I have been in the area less than 2 months so I don't know many people. I moved here for everything outdoors and have been taking advantage of it. I love hiking and also run (poorly). There is nothing more fun that trudging up a mountain and then running down like a barely controlled avalanche! I still work East Coast time so I'm that idiot you see on the trails at 4pm when it is 115 degrees. I'm also that guy that went kayaking and managed to dislocate a shoulder (don't ask). There are a number of outdoor things I still want to do and having someone to do them with would be great. All this being said I'm not a fitness freak and gyms, treadmills and street running bore me to death. I stay healthy but don't obsess about it. I'm that guy that orders a salad and then covers it in blue cheese dressing...don't judge me! I have a few more trail races I want to run and then I will be switching my fitness routine (if you want to call it that) to toning and adding some mass. Don't worry, I will never be that roided up meat head d-bag that seems to be the norm in so much of Scottsdale.
I enjoy everything from cheap canned beer with the guys after changing the brake pads to donning the tailored suit for a night of world class dining and entertainment. I am also a minimalist and not really into "stuff". I moved here with what fit in my truck and can just as easily move on to the next place. It is a very liberating feeling. I don't own a TV and most modern/pop culture is lost on me. I'm a reader and thinker but without being a recluse or socially awkward. I know the proper use of there, their and they're.
What am I looking for? Someone to do outdoorsy things with. Someone not afraid to try new things but who can also introduce me to new things. Prefer someone in shape but that doesn't mean I have to be able to iron a shirt on your stomach (wouldn't complain about that though). I would prefer someone that can be spontaneous and go on last minute weekends away or day trips. Someone that likes to flirt (when the relationship gets there) would be great. Independence is awesome but please have that softer side that I don't have to dig too hard to find. I'm a sucker for a beautiful smile and a great pair of legs. The thought of finding someone who likes to cuddle and share comfortable silences makes me smile. On the deeper side I need honesty and someone who knows what their values and morals are. Above all be fun, love life, love to laugh and love to love!
