OK, I grew up on the East coast as a beach child - I am truly a beach person. I think sand is part of my DNA. Beaches anywhere, California, Mexico (Puerto Vallarta), Hawaii, South of France, Spain (Barcelona), if there is a beach, and you want to go, I am there. I also like cities as well, San Francisco, NY, Miami, Paris, London, Buenos Aires and Rome I really enjoy. Travel is one of my favorite adventures. For the last 8 years, I have been trying to visit a different country every year. As a teenager, I spent a few years on and off in Argentina (that is where I learned Spanish).
Food is my passion. It comes from my Polish/Russian/Irish heritage. I took this passion for food, left corporate america and became a chef (no, I do not look like a "chef"). Now, I just cook for family and friends, and would love to have someone who would like to cook with me, or for me and share this passion or at least drink wine with me while I cook!. Good/great wines and great food.
In 2010 I retired from corporate America after 32 years in sales. Now I work part-time as an Event Planner. Due to my career I am financially stable, and independent. Life is a wonderful journey, and I always try to learn something from every opportunity/challenge that I have been given. I have a fabulous sense of humor and can laugh at life's situations and myself. This has saved my sanity on more than one occasion. Staying active is important to me. I like to walk and hike - especially if there are beaches. But I also enjoy the forest and lake areas, love the greenery. Like to watch, on TV or at games, football, baseball, basketball and somehow got interested in professional bull riding (no, I am not country). Use to own a horse so I still love to ride. Use to camp, not so much now. Also play golf, but need a major refresher course! Currently trying to work out 3 days a week. I am open to try new activities. As a beach person love all things water: swimming, sailing, boating, sunbathing, and just relaxing. Have never learned to scuba dive, but would love to try it.
Everyday I am grateful for the people in my life and the things to come. I am looking for someone with a positive attitude toward life, who is solid in himself, and likes who he is. I like who I am and how this life journey has allowed me to become.
