You are going to have to be cool with kids. I have both of mine full time. Their Father passed away two years ago. This doesn't mean that I can't get away, it just means that they come first. If you are the type that doesn't want to share your time, then it won't work for us.
I love to travel and I do so pretty often. I hit Cabo at least 2 to 3 times a year, go back to Iowa (where I am from ) several times a year and usually try to go skiing at least once or twice. I definately live by the "you only live once" theory.
My family is made up of crazy people and they mean the world to me so it will be importnant that you like/tolerate them and they like/tolerate you. We are extremely close....more so than most families and this can kind of be overwhelming for the person coming into the "clan". You will either love my family---or run like hell as fast as you can to get away :)
