Born in Australia, grew up in Wisconsin and Arizona,drove a motorcycle across Oz before the road was paved (sorta dates me), went to school and practiced my profession in Hawaii (mostly Maui) (undergraduate degree in philosophy from U of H) where I lived in a virtual little grass shack and pyramid that I built from bamboo, eucalyptus, Norfolk pine and sweat. Been a long time back in Az raising kids, but building another, more elaborate and comfortable pyramid based structure on the Big Island, where I try to spend a month or two a year. Lived on my 30 ft sloop in Honolulu for a year and love sailing. Now have a 25 ft old beauty, by the same designer, sitting in the driveway, waiting for the next trip down to San Carlos. Get things done under the philosophy "If not me, who? If not now, when?" Greatly enjoy intense games of racquetball with other social misfits. Not into "reality" tv, or even most tv, other than stuff on 8, don't have cable, or, gasp, a cell phone; enjoy reading, music, beating on drums, riding my motorcycle up the Yarnell hill, having the kids over for dinner. I'm a happy person, can handle being alone with myself. Always had animals around, now Fat Piddles, Dex, Bird Bird, and 4 chickens that go by Blackie, Red, Whitie, and Chicken. All in my little green spot in central Phx. So there is a bit of my history. What or who am I looking for? Well there is one of the mysteries of life! I know I want a sensual relationship, and for me there has to obviously be the physical attraction, which certainly implies a healthy lifestyle. I'm tall and don't want to resemble that basketball player and the wacko, so prefer 5'6" plus. I have an intellectual bent and would get along best with someone with a real interest in what's happening in the world, or at least a real interest in what they are doing. I have my crap around me, but am pretty non-materialistic, and not interested in a woman who pursues what I'll, perhaps unfairly, generalize as the "Scottsdale" lifestyle. But the world is full of wonderful surprises (I remember sleeping one night on the beach at the tip of Baja, on a sea kayak trip, waking up every hour or so-damn bugs- and seeing for the first time how the constellations revolve around in the night sky) so I, though a bit skeptical, would hope to meet thru this technical medium, that bright, beautiful, sensual, together, adventurous woman who I would want to hold hands with thru time.
