Date men and women from Alabama, United States. What are the magic words? I wish I knew. But after reading so many profiles, I realized that there aren’t any specific words that work for everyone. I do know by going through this process, that the first attraction in someone is their appearance. If by your picture you don’t catch their eye, they will never get to your profile.
It’s been along time since I have dated. On the plus side, in dating again, I have re-found the excitement/rush you experience when you believe you are finding a connection. It is great to have that feeling again. On the negative side is that that feeling was lost with myself and my former. Having learned this hard lesson I will do my best to recognize and do the things that are really important in making a relationship successful. It has given me a totally different perspective about relationships.
I am also learning that some behavioral changes have taken place in the manner a relationship is initiated between the generations. Beware. I have recently had an experience that could have gotten me into trouble. I have almost gotten smacked due to my taking, what I will call a youngster’s, advice. I was able to avoid the trouble by explaining my lack current experience and that I was being coached by this youngster. She and her 3 girl friends assured me that I had been given bad advice. When the youngsters try to give you advice about how things are done now days, look out. Maybe those tactics work for the younger generation, but again there is no one answer.
About me, I see myself as a traditionalist, old fashioned some would call it. But I truly believe in showing women respect in and away from crowds. I like touching, holding hands, showing affection for each other even in public. I am very much a romantic. I believe that I am a very honest, loyal person. But I must admit that from my past experience, I am not a very trusting person. Trust is very hard to earn and I believe that having trust in your mate is one of, if not the most important attribute in a relationship.
