Meet a soulmate from Alabama, United States. I'm James Howard "TJ" Tennyson, and I work at the VA Hospital in Tuskegee. I like to ride my Harleys and go fishing, both freshwater and saltwater. I have two boats, a jetboat for fishing in the rivers around Montgomery (Coosa and Tallapoosa) and a center console for taking to the Gulf. I usually go to Panama City when I go to the Gulf, but sometimes go to Pensacola where my cousin, Debbie, and her son live.
I love all kinds of music and have a tocket to see B.B. King in less than two weeks at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center! I've ben to see Mr. King three times in the last four years (every time he's been in Alabama). He's one of my all-time favorites. I like country, rock & roll, jazz, big bands, 'Cajun, and classical music as well. Th eonly thing I don't care for is Rap, and I like a very litle of that, even.
I love movies of almost all sorts, and I have over 800 DVDs and a couple hundred VHS movies as well (most of which I also have on DVD). SOme of my favorites are Out of Africa, The Man Who Would Be King, Zulu, Full Metal Jacket, Raising Arizona, A Christmas Story, Jerimiah Johnson, The Mountain Men, The Missing, The Outlaw Josey Wales, and the Underworld series. Oh, yes, and V for Vendetta! Can't forget that one!
I played trumpet, tuba, and string bass in high school and at the University of Alabama, but I didn't gradfuate from Alabama. I was going to be drafted, so I joined the Navy when I turned 18 and spent about 4 1/2 years as a Navy Dental Technician. After that, I went back to school at East Tennessee State University and on to dental school at the University of Tennessee (but I'm STILL an Alabama Crimson Tide fan!!!).
I wound up going back into the service after a couple of years of private practice and spent 16 years and 9 months in the US Public Health Service, where I served in the Indian Health Service (Cherokee, NC and Pine Ridge, SD), the US Coast Guard (ISC New Orleans), and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FCI Ashland, Ky and USP Pollock, La). I retired from the USPHS in 2006 and since have worked at teh Veterans Affairs hospitals in Salem, Virginia and Tuskegee, Alabama.
I love the beach and the mountains, and every year a bunch of my old friends and I go on our "Annual Reunion Ride". So far we've been to Rolling Thunder in Washigton, D.C.; Branson, Missouri; Maryland; Rapid City, South Dakota; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We plan on going back to Eureka Springs next September, since about half of us didn't get to make the trip last July.
I think we could find some intersting things to do, between the two of us. Lat mne know if you agree.

I am quite social, but I also love to just hang out in my home enjoying the serenity. I am blessed with a high degree of creativity. I'm not the best at meticulous planning; for me the creative spark is where I shine, and I could use someone's help being more systematic at times. I think I am seen as a kind person and I tend to be sensitive to the emotions of others. I generally cheer for the underdog. I believe in good manners, not to put on airs but to show courtesy to others, especially toward those with whom we spend the most time. I am fairly articulate and fairly straightforward. I am getting too old for trying to guess when someone may be saying the opposite of what they feel or disguising what's really on their mind.
