I just got my dream mountain bike, a Yeti 575. Along with carbon Cannondale and Specialized Roubaix road bikes, now we can ride if you don't have one. I have a new Denali SUV with a great rack on back, it needs to be used!! Strapping the bikes to the SUV and cruising to Napa and Calistoga for some bike wine tasting is pretty fun.
I am a warm, outgoing person. I love to laugh. I care about people around me, and I try to bring a smile to a sad face. I grew up in the Saratoga foothills, near the Mountain Winery. We had horses and we spent many days exploring all the places there were to ride. My family still lives there. I am spontaneous and like to do a lot of different things. Humor is vital. I am a romantic and I know how to treat a beautiful woman. I love the coast and the mountains. And I like animals of all sorts and sizes. If you like horses, it's a big plus. I like almost any kind of music, and I like the theater. Good food at great restaurants is high on the list. I have been told that I definitely do not look my age, or act it, and sure don't feel it. I prefer outdoors stuff, hiking, biking, exploring, museums, beaches, waterfalls, zoos, concerts and shows. Home snuggling together watching a movie with a glass of wine and of course popcorn, and some great munchies, Oh Yeah... So, I want to be with my best friend, spend quality time together, and get closer, having a good time along the way. It would be great to be with someone who enjoys some of the events I get to do, it's a lot of fun. You are a free spirit, someone who is comfortable within your own skin, who likes to laugh and be themselves, and explore. I love someone who can celebrate life, someone who likes other people, and doesn't mind hiking, biking, tennis. lunch, a Bed & Breakfast somewhere new, just watching a sunset, or a play in the city. Or just hanging out doing nothing. Even reading a book together with a glass of wine is romantic. My biggest achievement in life (to-date) is the adoption and successful upbringing of my 2 sons. My wife of 22 years (who recently passed away) and I adopted 2 brothers at a very early age and as I say... the hair loss started shortly after the adoption papers were signed. Both sons are grown up now, pursuing their own life's interest.
At this point in my life, I would like a friend, confidante, and lover, someone that I can talk to about anything and continue growing older together. Having left the dating scene after marrying my wife so many years ago has left me oddly shy and somewhat intimidated as I enter the "dating" scene again. I guess you could say that I'm a bit out of practice, but as with riding a bicycle, the hardest part is getting back on. So although meeting women can be difficult for me at first, I am eager to find a partner to help navigate these uncharted roads.
