Meet someone special from California, United States. The first thing that I would like to say about myself is that its hard to write about myself. I believe that I have good morals created by having great family and friends. I am very healthy and enjoy life and one way to keep fit is by myself running long distance and competing. I enjoy the outdoors and the adventures, such as fishing, hunting, mountain biking, etc. This list could go on forever. I like all types of music, but listen to country, light jazz and rhythm and blues. I'm an easy guy to please, and find contentment in strolling through a farmer's market or enjoying a simple cup of coffee with a friend.
The type of woman that would appeal to me is one who is strong, intelligent, and has good common sense. An exceptional sense of humor is a must, as life seems to be one big comedy. You are a cross between Jon Stewart Will Farrell, have a quirky sense of humor, are intelligent and want to share good conversation. (Even puns are okay) You don't have to do a stand up routine for me (but it's okay if you do!) You are also a bit of a wino, foodie and like me, like to indulge in all kinds of movies--from goofy B movies to classic film. When we can drag ourselves off the couch we'll take a hike or stroll or try kayaking. I must confess that I am a bonafide history geek. I grew up in Berkeley with a father who was an antique dealer. He traveled widely collected everything from glass eyeballs to antique prophylactics, I kid you not. So I am at home going to junk yards, thrift shops and checking out old maps photos to figure out the way things used to be. I spent years living and working in LA and wandering around decaying movie sets and old movie palaces.
That brings me to another passion: travel. I've got relatives who live all over ( a cheap way to go) I hope you will want to log some miles on the road--hopefully to find some eccentric and interesting destinations (dare I say, romantic?)--from the North Coast to the Bay Area and beyond. On the career side: when I'm not indulging myself in some hobby or project--I work in environmental education which I take as an amazing opportunity to learn all about the magnificent place in which we live. I love my job and learn more every day--sometimes just getting past the bureaucracy takes up most of my day, :)
