Meet single man from Nevada City, United States. As you might guess from my handle, I like to spend a lot of time outside. I've spent time in big cities, but I city life really doesn't appeal to me except in small doses.There's nothing more fun in my book than playing in the woods on a sunny California day. I enjoy hiking and I've done a fair amount of backpacking, but these days I prefer sleeping in my own comfy bed after a day outdoors. I've tried cross-country skiing but it didn't suit me, but I do enjoy easy snowshoe treks. During the week I try to get out for a walk at least once a day. I'm not really into the adrenaline rush, but I make an exception for rollercoasters.
As far as indoor activities go, I enjoy dining out (no sushi!) and a good beer or a tasty red wine. I'm a fan of most types of music - most rap and opera excepted. I especially like live music, so I frequently go to concerts and festivals to take advantage of our fantastic local music scene. I don't claim to be a great dancer, but I do like to get out and stomp around the dance floor. It's another great way to get some exercise, especially on winter nights when outdoor activities aren't as much fun. I watch some TV (see favorites below) and I like science fiction movies, both good and bad.
I've spent a lot of time flying for business and to visit family over the years, so I'm sort of burnt out on travel at this point in my life.
I'm a firm believer in dressing casually. I'm pretty much a night owl and tend to be a bit of a workaholic. I'm employed in the electronics industry and work a lot with computers.
I've been told that I have a dry sense of humor.
I've been on my own for a very long time and have become quite comfortable with that. Other than some excessive disorder that is a side effect of a busy schedule, I'm pretty happy with my life these days, so I'm not looking to make any big changes, but I'm willing to keep an open mind in case opportunity knocks.
