While I am naturally independent, I have friends that are like family, and I've always been more of a relationship girl. I love cooking (especially with good company); I’m at home in the outdoors (family vacations were camping) but don’t mind coming home to a hot shower and warm bed at the end of the day. I love road-trips and seeing the country by car (driven cross-country three times), and think that travelling is the ultimate luxury. I'm a former athlete who now just loves to get out for a run or cheer on a game from the stands. A great Saturday can be Italian at a restaurant around the corner. An ideal Sunday can be spent on a blanket in a park with iced coffee and the New York Times.

There are many places in this country that I haven’t seen, and many I would like to see again. I’ve been to New Zealand, but not Australia. I’ve been in the Med but not much in Europe. I’ve been to Hawaii a dozen times but am ready to go again. I’ve been on several cruises and would like more. But I haven’t been river cruising, and the European rivers, or the Amazon, or even the Mississippi look interesting. How about taking our grandkids white water rafting? Or skiing? Or just to the beach? Possibilities are endless. Together, we can make ordinary days special with an impromptu adventure or just hanging out at home reading, cooking, snuggling, or whatever.
I have traveled by myself and have lived much of my adult life alone. And I do very well. However, it is so much more fun to be with a special person. What is this special person like? I probably really do not know. But an essential would be integrity. For me, without trust there is nothing. Almost as important would be warmth, openness with feelings, and the willingness and ability to face the issues that inevitably arise in relationships with honesty, dignity, and love.
So, are you interested? Do you have the time and inclination to explore? It would be nice if you played golf, or would be willing to. I could easily be lured back to the tennis courts. And what are your passions? I am willing to try almost anything. I’m strong, athletic, and pretty agile. I’m not afraid of bumps, bruises, or discomforts in search of fun. Were this not so, I would never have skied or broken horses. Like the ad says, “Just do it!!!”
