I spent many years raising two daughters, and now that my youngest has turned 21 and graduated from college, my time and money are my own again. I just moved to the Grass Valley area. I bought some land and am building a house on the side of a mountain. It's beautiful here. It's nice to see the stars again.
I have taught middle and high school for many years. and in my life have been heavily into exercise, meditation, and music. Btw...I like all kinds of music, including some rap. (so many women say "and I don't like rap music" in their profile. Why bother to say anything at all?) I love tools and machines and the ability to understand and repair things, or create a new solution. I'm always on the go. No couch potato here. While I like order and routine, I love let go and be spontaneous...road trip? Life is such an adventure!

Conversation: Essential, and finding someone who understands the give and take of good conversation is very important. I like fine minds, witty and humorous exchanges.
Exercise: Being active is very important to me. I want someone who can explore the beautiful trails in this area with me. Having two young dogs means I?m walking or hiking seven days a week, typically a couple of miles a day. Stuff: It's just that, but I have my own house, my own kick ass vehicle and my own teeth. I live simply but well.
Animals: I love animals. I have two dogs that are part of my life. However, I don?t have a problem leaving them for a long weekend or more.
Activities: Hopefully you?ll have things you like to do. If you want to go motorcycle riding with your guy friends for a weekend that?s great. Golf, tennis, whatever, it?s all good as long as it?s not every weekend. I happen to love to shoot and every Monday is league night. However, if we want to get away I can get a substitute.
Family: Yes, they are important. My children live out of state, the rest are close by. We try to get together when possible and aging parents sometimes require some attention.
Misc: I?m frustrated with the body choices in this profile. I am all of six feet, blue eyes, silvery blond hair, long legs and big, ah, assets, with a bit of extra around the middle. There?s always room for improvement but I like me. Wouldn?t you prefer a lioness over a domestic? A Great Pyrenees over a poodle?
If you Austin, TX guys are wondering why I'm surfing there it's because my kids live in Austin and I get there a fair bit. I would love to have some company when I'm out listening to my son make music.
