I am a huge pet lover - I currently have one dog, three cats, a guinea pig, a tarantula (my child's!) and a salt water fish tank. A crazy menagerie - but my children and I love all of them! I have had almost every kind of pet imaginable since I was a little girl - ranging from a parrot, dogs, cats, a horse, duck, snakes, rabbits, mice, hamsters, frogs and a turtle named Trouble!
I love good food - and fortunately like to exercise enough to be able to enjoy it. I try to run five times a week when my busy schedule allows for it. Sweets are a serious addiction - but I try very hard to control it!
I am a car fanatic! My dad has been a car collector since I was a baby and I inherited that gene. He owned every kind of weird, exotic used car at some point. We even had a very old Citroen we named Pierre! I read Auto Week religiously and know more about cars than most men (sorry to sound sexist). Of course it's heartbreaking that I am currently driving a minivan when I really want a convertible 1969 Jag XKE - some day!
I really enjoy travelling - but with kids even just a weekend get-away is a huge luxury! I also like to go to movies, have great conversations, visit interesting places, just play in general - anything from a fun night of dancing to just hanging out at home and relaxing. I really do love to walk on the beach! As cliched as that sounds, it's the truth. Just walking in the sand puts me in a wonderful mood - something about being near the ocean calms me like nothing else. One of my goals is to make enough money in real estate that I will be able to realize my forever fantasy of having a home on the beach.
Music is a major passion of mine. My tastes range from Springsteen, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor to the Foo Fighters, Green Day, REM, Prince, old school R&B, etc. etc. I even listen to my kids' favorites like Lady Gaga and Rhianna while I run! I have probably spent more money on concerts over the years than on anything else. My kids can even identify which Beatle is singing lead in which song!
I try to find the silver lining in everything. Although I am not religious (Jewish), I consider myself spiritual - I honestly believe that things happen for a (good) reason. There is a lesson to be learned with every challenge.

The reality of life today is that I am a woman that is still working and supporting herself. I own my home and am proud of my personal and professional accompishments.
