I love a house full of friends, family, and laughter! I love to entertain in my home, as modest as it is! If you need a meal - my door is always open. I love to cook, but need to take a BBQ class. I grew up in a family where the BBQing was always done by the men (dad, brother, husband, uncles, & oldest son)! Guess at 63 I need to learn because I am a firm believer that the oven does not go on in the summer.
For anyone interested - you need to love kids and controlled chaos! When my oldest is in town the house may be filled with his friends and their kids (to many of them I am Grandma Red). This is where the controlled chaos comes in!

College basketball: St. Mary's College of Calif - The GAELS (not Mount St Marys)
Pro baseball: SF Giants & Oakland A's
Pro football: Oakland Raiders (My oldest son was switched at birth, as he is a 49'er fan) But I still love him at times!

I am originally from the Bay Area (hence the team allegance) Most of my family and old friends still live up there, including my oldest. Great place to visit outside of my allergy season.
I love dogs - not the 3 pound type - but they need to be well mannered and polite - just like children.
I am out-spoken and opinionated! If you don't want to hear it - then don't ask - that is just me and after all these years this will not change. What you see is what you get!
I volunteer for things I believe in (church events & Relay for Life) - sometime too much volunteering, but that is and always has been, me! If a job needs to be done, I will do my best to get it completed - just don't want recognition. I "do" from my heart, not for praise.

I don't know how to play golf but willing to learn. I used to love to go boating but no longer have that opportunity since the boat went to the other side of the divorce along with the home in Lake Havasu.
I like the outdoors and have acquired several rose plants which I have potted (I know not very exciting but what the heck, gotta do something). But I really enjoy my little patio filled with plants and flowers.
It seems that everything I enjoy doing takes a partner to do it with and since I haven't got one, I seem to be in limbo. I'd love to travel over the US and abroad. And am in good health so far so if you want to go somewhere and need a partner lets talk it over.

Back to the subject of about me, I am easy going. I read as much as i can, now past my phase of self help books. My interest are very much standard in comparison to others. I am very curious when it comes to how we and this place we live in was created and why, although I am positive of the fact that it was created by God. I am in the process of learning everything I can about the subject.

Also I am usually busy and on the go. I love boats and water and spend much of my time near (or on) the Pacific. I was once an avid golfer and have just resumed playing. I bought myself a set of Callaway clubs for Christmas (thank you Santa) and now speak “titanium and hybrids.” It is like riding a bicycle, you don’t forget how but need to practice to get back in the swing. I am gaining by leaps and bounds (and a few out-of-bounds).
This year I have been to Puerto Vallarta, Colorado and Las Vegas. Usually my journeys take me much further afield and I plan to get back to this type of traveling. I just signed up for a tour of the French Riviera and Paris in November 2011. Two years ago I took a 10-year old on a tour of China and the year before that I took three kids through seven countries in Europe in twenty-one days. I not only survived this, I really enjoyed every moment – well almost every moment. Frankly having an adult companion would be far preferable. A special someone is even better.
Are you a couch potato? We probably wouldn't be a good match. I like men who are active and even more importantly fun to be with. Boating is a large part of my life and I am on the water every weekend. I have been running Predicted Log races in my boat for a year now (and actually did rather well).
