My parting words to my teenage daughters every time they headed out the door (as a new 16 year old driver or to a high school football game or just to the yogurt shop with friends) was always "Have Fun, Be Safe, Make Good Decisions" (they've told me they'll have this printed on my gravestone!). Recently, as I headed out for the evening, my daughter offered the same parting words to me, though in a smartalecky, teenage way - "Mom - Have Fun. Be Safe. Make Good Decisions!" I'd love to meet someone to have fun with, who is upbeat and active and enjoys life. I want them to make me feel safe and vice versa because we are both honest, trustworthy, kind and caring.
