I just finished my PhD and can tell you that it was the most difficult accomplishment of my life. The horror stories are true! But now that's behind me, working as an assistant professor at a university is reward enough.

I have always been quite active until I tore my ACL at the end of last year. But I'm trying to slowly get back into basketball and the gym time.
