First, I must say that I dislike the "cubby hole" method of creating a profile with drop down answers like the fields above although I do understand why it is necessary. That being said, please do not take those responses as absolutes, especially the "dating intent" and "what I'm looking for". People are all different and there may be as many possibilities as there are people who read and respond. I would hate to miss a great connection by limiting what I am looking for. Sooooo, now on to a narrative description that will tell you more about what makes me me.
It is said that life is a journey, not a destination... and I find that it just keeps getting more incredible. I now have the time to learn more about myself...and others. There's so much more to take in, absorb, experience and enjoy and life's journey is definitely better with the right partner. To paraphrase Jack Johnson, "it's better together". I'm very open, social, and playful and thoroughly enjoy people, yet I also enjoy quiet times and everyday things. My interests span an eclectic mix of things...from live music of most any genre, to watching sports, especially the Chargers. However, I have no musical aptitude whatsoever. Deep inside, I think there is a frustrated percussionist though. Lord help us if she ever gets out! I love street fairs, farmer's markets, dive bars and funky coffeeshops. I relish dining out and cooking and it's really fun to cook with someone...with a little wine perhaps, whether it goes into what we're cooking or not! I do some gardening in my small patio which now looks like my own private rainforest. I thrive on excess...of chocolate and massages! ha Family and friends are very important to me and they nourish my soul. I am fiercely loyal. Being a parent is a treasured gift and being a grandparent is even better.
Traits that are important to me are an open mind, a strong body (no addictions), a beautiful soul, and an ageless spirit. I thrive on open communication, honesty, appreciation of one another, sensuality, trust, togetherness, mutual respect for each other's individuality, laughter, and a great sense of humor. I believe kissing is the most tender and intimate form of communication and the eyes truly are the windows to the soul. The more I learn, the more I realize how much more there is to know and experience. Learning to just "be" is both challenging and oh so fulfilling.

I raised my 2 sons alone for 12 years,then met my late husband. I am very proud of the men they have become. Have 4 grandchildren, youngest 3 mo's old....oldest will be 12 in Dec.
