Theater from the Blue Room in Chico to Phantom in San Francisco is always an interest if not a necessity. Movies have seemed to me an alternative for someone who can't think of something better to do, but that opinion is not set in stone......
Sports fan enough to see the Kings live and always know who is playing football but more of an outdoors guy than to ever let TV be a priority. The highlights on Sunday night or the paper on Monday are enought to keep my fantasy team current.
Summer also includes the Music Circus in Sacramento for Broadway.
Around the kitchen, I am usually the cook, and long time single have even learned to do the dishes.
At the coffee shop, I will read every newspaper.
Love to find out of the way great Italian restaurants, will always go to the local restaurant or store in lieu of the chains, franchise or big box store, with one exception..

I grew up in Holland and started a career in the merchant navy and sailed on merchant ships for 3 years in order to see and discover the world. When I turned 22 I discovered what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and emigrated to the US to study forestry and later ecology. I have always loved plants and natural vegetation. While I have traveled and lived abroad a great deal in my life (I have lived in 5 countries), I also love being at home with friends, a good book, a great movie, or some classical music or good jazz.
