I love to bike and swim long distance but not fanatic, just enough to get in shape to stay away from illness, and would like to do another Colorado bike tour in the near future because it is beautiful out there. My typical weekend usually includes replenish the frig, fixing up the home, lawn, gardening, farmers market, biking, movie, eat out, listening to NPR at the backyard swing and spending time with my cats. Sometimes I’m called a perfectionist which can be true at times. I’m outside constantly and enjoy golfing, running, skiing, hiking and at times taking a nap in the hammock. Meet single man from Arkansas, United States. OK, I looked at the profile that I had on here, and after much consideration I came to the conclusion that it was pathetic. So, it’s time to try again with a little more thought and feeling.
A little about me. Well, I think my friends would describe me as easy going, open, friendly, laid back, dependable, and funny. I don’t really have enemies, so I’m not sure how they would describe me. I enjoy bowling, and am trying to learn how to golf. I love to take drives to nowhere in particular; the scenery here is just too beautiful not to take it in. I love traveling period, and have had the opportunity to travel for work. I would just like to see more of the world when I’m not expected to work 12 hours out of the day. It really hinders exploring and seeing the sights. When traveling I prefer to go to the places the locals go, not just the regular tourist stops. You can get more of the real culture of the area doing it that way. I am pretty adventurous, so will try just about anything (haven’t found anything yet that I wouldn’t try anyway). I have two children who do not live with me, a daughter who is 23, and a son who is 17. I’ve been very lucky with both of them, they are wonderful young adults and I am so proud of them, I could just burst. I also have other family members that live in the area, and our get-togethers are always entertaining. Both my sisters are very articulate and quick witted, and no subject is ever taboo. Don’t say you haven’t been warned. I am rather intelligent (I passed my Mensa entrance exam when I was 17), and can hold up my end of a conversation well, thank you very much. Once again, nothing is off the table.
So, you might ask, what kind of person am I looking for? Funny you should ask, I was just wondering the same thing. I suppose the major criteria would be someone I can talk to easily. There’s nothing worse than having to force a conversation. We don’t have to be like minded about everything, a little spirited debate can be fun, but open mindedness is mandatory. Physical appearance is secondary; judge not lest you be judged. Besides, it’s true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have met beautiful people that turn ugly when personality comes to the forefront. Eye candy is all well and good for a while, but a good relationship has to go deeper than that, or it will never last. You have to talk at some point don’t you? I’m not one that has to be going all the time, but I also refuse to let my life be ruled by what is on TV that night. Not saying that I don’t like to cuddle up on the couch with a good movie and the right company, just not every night. I am a very affectionate person, and it’s just in my character to do whatever I can to make my partner feel special and wanted. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to make them smile, however, that feeling will go away eventually if it isn’t appreciated and reciprocated.
