I’m someone who really enjoys traveling, cooking, and exercise (cycling and swimming in particular). I tend to be very social and try to go with friends as much as possible when I'm not on the road, but sometimes it would just be nice to come home, relax, and have someone to hang out with or cook dinner for in the evenings. Still, I’ll always love going out when I’m not working or exercising...I would just like to have a partner in crime to join me. In particular, I love dancing (although I never get to anymore) and just hanging out with my friends. After all, it’s the good times and memories that we keep with us forever. I think that’s why I like to travel so much, especially overseas. I love meeting new people and learning about their culture and ideas about life. It really gives me a different perspective on my own life. That’s the type of priceless experience I really cherish because I can keep it with me forever.
While my friends and family are extremely important to me and they tend to come before work, I'm still very goal-oriented. After finishing my Ph.D. at Arizona State and working at UW (Wisconsin) for a while, I decided that academia wasn't for me. So went to work on the business side of research doing scientific sales and consulting. But sales-related stress quickly started to take it's toll on me so I went and found something more in tune with my personality that makes daily use of my education. I now have an amazing job serving on the medical team for a pharmaceutical company supporting physicians who have questions out in the field. While it has me on the road a ton, I absolutely love it!! Short of winning the lottery...it' really my dream job!
As far as relationships go, I tend to be very sensitive and affectionate to people I date and my friends. I’ve always believed that life would be a lot easier if people just say what they really feel. So, I really think honesty and open communication is the best policy in any relationship.
Because exercise and being healthy is such a big part of my life, I’d like to find someone who’s into being fit and healthy as well. I also put a very high value on education as I seem to relate best to intelligent women. As everyone here knows, it's really tough to write these profile blurbs....I don't hold too much stock in them, because you really only get a idea of a person once you meet them. Chatting for weeks and weeks gets you nowhere as people can easily hide behind online personalities. Nothing beats the real deal, the face2face meet up. My previous profile was more on the sarcastic humorous side, but I've decided to soften things up here...apparently that is the m.o. around these virtual parts.

I've had a pretty varied last decade or so - after university I became a filmmaker and wrote/directed short films, then moved to Europe where I worked in live television for a few years before working for a major film studio on some feature films. If you watch Showtime late at night, and enjoy horrible Chris Lambert films, you might catch one of the ones I worked on. After a bit of a crash and burn, with life lessons learned. Since coming back to AZ, i started working in a new industry, but lately have been dabbling again in production, mostly filming live concerts for a few great locals bands that I've become tight with. No matter what happens, it seems I am always drawn back to the arts... I'm easily inspired by art and there is definitely a creative fire burning within me. Now I need someone who wants to come warm themselves by this fire!
But one of the lessons I learned is that being a starving artist type sucks! This means that I do strive to be responsible - I work a great solid job in finance, live in a nice house in Scottsdale and I love my new '11 chevy.
I guess I can say I am very multi-faceted. Not the average dumb douchey guy you meet on Mill Ave or in Old Town. I'm the real deal.
