I value family and friends a great deal (many of my friends are lifelong). My career is important to me, but not as important as personal relationships. There are many facets to my personality and what makes me whole.
I am told I am quite flexible, balanced, funny and “real” ... I am not the clingy type, but when I love someone I love them completely and they will know thru my display of affection. You won't have to ask if I am happy, you will know. My eyes are super expressive as well as my smile. I understand the need for personal space and having one's own time, but thrive on having that special someone to dote over.

I was not blessed with the joys of children of my own, but do love them (I do have a good relationship with my stepchildren though they are older and out-of-state).
I enjoy giving back to society since I feel I have been more fortunate than most. I do this through placement of service dogs in personal homes as well as the school system.

I am passionate about a lot of things in life (dogs, animals, the planet, health and fitness, tolerance...) and I am also very active and curious about people, culture, society and the big wide world around me – there is so much to do and see! In life, I am a participant, not an observer, and I try to keep myself engaged and involved. I just graduated with my BS in May. I love to do yoga 1-3 times per week. I enjoy hiking (this weather limits my window of opportunity, but I don't mind a good sweat!) and I like to roller blade around my neighborhood when I need a quickie workout. I volunteer a lot of hours each week – I co-founded and run a program at the dog pound in which we assess the behavior of dogs on the euthanasia list in order to get them of the list; and I also volunteer for a few other organizations including being a volunteer photographer for a small rescue group. I am currently nursing a sweet little foster dog with distemper, so far she is doing well!
Health and fitness are super important to me - quality food, yoga, exercise, sunshine, positive thinking. I fancy myself a liberal, but whenever I take one of those darn personality tests, I always score "conservative" - what?? I think that just means that I know there are grey areas in life, and I like those grey areas, but I am also very black and white when it comes to things like ethics and integrity.
Outdoors is my favorite place to be. I absolutely love hiking, camping, backpacking and going for long motorcycle rides. If I could be doing anything right now it would be working with dogs at the shelter or backpacking through some national park to a pristine camp spot. I love international travel and I've been fortunate to visit some amazing places (Nicaragua, Cambodia, Trinidad, Estonia, Colombia - to name a few). Although I prefer to be outdoors, I do clean up quite well and have a lot of poise and class. I can be very serious, professional and "adult-like" when the need calls for it, but I also love to have frivolous fun being a complete dork around my friends. I have been known to throw myself under the bus to entertain or get a laugh when my friends seem bored or like they are not having fun. Life is too short to be old and stuffy!

Tell me something interesting that you do - something different and unique? Watching sports in a bar is fun, but that is not an interesting hobby or lifestyle.
