I set goals and strive to obtain them. In 2009, I decided I would go to EVERY concert at Verizon Wireless in Pelham. This would expose me to concerts that I would not normally attend. I did attend every show that year and have attended events around the southeast since then. I have seen some many concerts at Verizon both good and bad. You can't appreciate the good ones without sitting through the bad ones. Watched Nickleback in a pouring rain - Great. Watched Coldplay with a jacked up crowd - Great. Watched Dave Mathews Band - Overated. Watched - Widespread Panic, Blink 182, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold - Bad. Watched Motley Crue - Wild. Watched Hinder - What a lazy bunch of whiners.
I have become a regular at the VIP area at the Crawfish Boil. I have seen some excellent acts on stage there: Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman and Train. Plus I have saw some acts that were suprisingly entertaining: Buckcherry, LL Cool J, Katy Perry, Stone Temple Pilots. They are building the new Westin Hotel on the Crawfish boil site, wonder where the new venue will be.
