I have lived in South Lake Tahoe since 1994 and this beautiful mountain lake is a part of my soul! I work for a human services agency, helping people find employment and get off government aid. I am also a licensed fishing guide and outdoor writer. I love to laugh and joke, I love to cook and eat healthy meals. I am about to be divorced, and I have lived on my own with my beautiful daughter since 1/1/12. I have dated a little bit, but those situations ultimately did not work out. I don't like to go to bars and nightclubs that often, and that article I read about meeting women in the supermarket was a lie! Turns out they are there to shop for food!

Doesn't obsess about problems, keeps a photo of me in his wallet and on his desk at work - because he wants to. He says I love you, even when people are around and isn't afraid to use the term "we" and "us" when referring to the future. He's the kind of man who cleans his car the afternoon before our date, then shows up on time, in freshly laundered/pressed clothes, he's just showered, shaved, smells great - I can tell, he put thought into our date. He isn't rigid - he's not going to mind if we decide to change plans. He can roll with it - this is key, especially when travelling!
Sorry, but I am NOT an athlete and don't want to be pressured into doing any of the typical "Tahoe" sports, so if you require any of the following, we would not be a match: Downhill skiing, snowboarding, backpacking, camping, wake boarding, water skiing, mountain biking, road biking, golfing, etc. I'm mostly a walker and day hiker, and enjoy most warm-water/beach sports, like snorkeling, swimming, diving, sailing. Will very likely leave Tahoe eventually in favor of a small town somewhere on a beach or at the very least, at a lower elevation.
