I grew up in Orange County, California, but have now spent most of my life in the Calabasas area. I was lucky to have a stable childhood with two wonderful loving parents as great role models and a slightly older sister. I am in my mid 40's but most people think I look younger. I exercise regularly, am careful about eating right, and due to favorable family genes am still fit and trim. My favorite sport is tennis. why have pictures of yourselves:
1) in a bathroom mirror? (find a friend to take one -- you won't die from it, I promise!),
2) without a shirt and possibly flexing, perhaps in a gym or a bathroom mirror? (this is NOT necessary!!),
3) with the fish you caught?,
4) with other men and it's your main profile picture? (we won't know who's profile we'll be reading!),
5) in or on your car? (this picture does not boost your masculinity rating!),
6) while at your computer, possibly in the dark? (lonely-looking and creepy),
7) not smiling? (we want to see your smile!!),
8) with a hat and/or glasses or we can't see your face?(we want to see unobstructed pictures of you, hair or no hair! Some of us don't care about your hair or lack thereof!) or, and this is the worst ,
9) no picture at all? (I mean, really??? Nothing says "no mojo" more than a profile without a picture.)
I'm a true California girl, born and raised by the beach in So Cal (but not LA).

With all that said, maybe you guys can help me understand something. I've noticed there are a lot of flaky people in the world of on line dating. It seems that once the conversation moves to the next level by exchanging numbers, it also seems to end. Either the guy will ask for my number, I'll give it but never get a call or, the guy will give his number, I'll leave a message but never get a returned call. I don't get it. Why bother if you're not interested? Seriously. Am I missing something here? I, at least "try" and then see where it goes from there. Why does this happen?
