It you write too much about not taking life too seriously, then you can come off as a goof ball. Either way, you could scare off the best thing (person) that's ever happened to you and that's a scairy thought.
So, like most, I like a balance in life. You need balance to figure out of life's contradictions. You know, like "time goes by so fast yet time flies when we're having fun". I like personal growth and the sense of accomplishment. I am driven and love to inspire and love to be inspired. I'm very much an outside of the box thinker, certainly spontaneous and I love passion. I like to be intrigued and have the curiosity of an eight year old. If I see something that I find interesting, I want to find out as much about as I can.
Working out, staying fit and just being healthy are important. I even like competing in a variety of sports, card games, board games, pillow fights, food fights (well, maybe not food fights). Although, with food in mind, I like dining out and weekend trips to one of the beach cities or a cruise. I also like to go to the micro brews for a beer or two.
I like going to ball games and tailgating. Along the same lines: Bon fires and cook outs are great too, except for when the neighbors just assume there's enough for them. I like social events where it's nice to talk to people on more of a professional level.
I don't really have a "type" that I'm attracted to but I know her when I see her. I do like things that make me say "wow"! ***Chances are, if I've written you an e-mail, you made me say "wow". I'm attracted to women that are confident, classy, witty and driven. I always read how people want to meet someone with a lot in common. I'm not sure if I completely agree with that. I think it would be great to meet someone with other interests. Then if we don't agree with it, we can just consider it a little healthy imperfection. I like such a wide range of things, there will always be something I like. I do like someone that can carry on a conversation. Intelligence is great. I like the classy and sassy combo. But then again, I guess it all comes down to what we woud have together, and the intangibles, doesn't it? And, once you've become a part of my life, it's something I take seriously. I recently spent two weeks in Europe studying for my MBA and I really liked Madrid - definitely going back! My work takes me to Monterey occasionally and I really enjoy visiting wine country while I'm there; it's really beautiful country.

What am I looking for? I enjoy the company of an educated, outgoing woman that loves to laugh, is somewhat traditional (yes, I open doors without being asked) yet open-minded and willing to experience a wide variety of things from dive bars to the symphony, art galleries to jazz festivals. More? Hmmm. I live in UTC, have a decent job making decent money working for a solid company, have a great group of local friends. Love sports of any kind. I'll play any sport any time! Must come as a shock as I am a guy - huh? My family lives here in Diego and are very important to me. I am single because my last relationship (five years of it) decided to hook up with her coworker instead of me :) It happens! That was four years ago so there is no rebounding going on here! My day is: go to work, come home / tear off my suit, put on a pair of shorts and shirt and running shoes and get to it, shower and eat dinner, and watch TV or catch up on news or read a book. Tuesday night softball. That is M-TH. Fridays are kind of the same lately. SAT and SUN - would love to share some or most part of my week with someone special. I love a few shows: LOVE The Colbert Report, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Tosh.O, and ESPN. I'll even watch a 'girl' show with the right woman :) I will watch any movie from Caddyshack to The Notebook. Love music too - from Lil Wayne to Buble or Bocelli to NIN, Linkin Park (love!), The Killers, Green Day, Incubus to Matt Nathanson. I'm diggin on some new artists like Gary Go, Colin Hay, Brandi Carlisle and One Eskimo to name a few. My Ipod is loaded from one end of the spectrum to the other. Not so much country music though although it does have its merit ...

Just an FYI - the photo of me (the one in the middle of the group) was taken last May 3 at a conference in New Orleans that I attended. The others were taken in December/July - so there are no photo shopped or out date pictures of me. I am not fat and I am not ugly :) The most recent photo of me is from February '12. I apologize for the shirtless photo as I am not a fan of of that 'cheesy' look but it's one of the most recent pics I have and I have not changed at all ...

Meet someone special from United States. I am probably one of the more curious persons you will meet. I love to read and explore and I want to know everything about everything. I have a pretty bad case of the travel bug and have been to 54 countries so far. I am not your typical tourist and like to get far off the beaten path. Once I hitch-hiked by myself for two months.
I am also loyal (being faithful is not a challenge for me), family oriented (very important), and into living healthy through diet and exercise. I tend to be very affectionate and have no problems expressing my feelings. I am fortunate to get along very well with my family and most of my friends I have had for decades.
Like many people I have been searching for a deeper meaning to life and I have been giving my time and money to help out people less fortunate. I have been thinking about adoption and what a life changing gift it would be for that child.
I want to meet someone that is looking for a long term relationship that could lead to marriage and children. Since the bar and club scenes are not for me I think Match is not a bad way of meeting people. I am looking for an intelligent woman that has a good heart and good intentions.
